My girlfriend & I decided to go take her two grown kids to Mardi Gras in Nola. One of her kids was a 20 year old young man, the other a 19 young lady. Her oldest young man decided to go back to the room so that he could get changed and get a headstart. The rest of us remained on Bourbon st for about an additional hour. Then head back to the hotel.
We chose the Ritz Carlton because of its storied service and attention to its clients.
As the young man returned to the room, he had in his possession, a room key, & an ID. But he was not allowed to enter the hotel, & When we arrived, he was sitting on the curve, surrounded by security for no reason. He was wearing shorts some beads around his neck & tennis shoes.
When we asked why he was not allowed back into the room security replied That he was not allowed to go in because he did not have a shirt on.
I understand at the Ritz hotel and its affiliates have a policy in place for a variety of items such as this. When we spoke to the doorman, he was rude and almost did not leave us in the hotel ourselves.
We demanded to speak with the manager on the third-floor.
