皇家宅邸民宿(The Mansion on Royal)

Stayed for 3 nights in April. Had booked the room with 2 separate sleeping areas but the booking agent messed it up so ended up getting 2 rooms in the house rather. I don’t know how it can be called a hotel. Not once did I see anyone who worked there besides the cleaning lady when there was a room change over. Rooms are not serviced unless you specifically request. The building is old, with paint peeling and wallpaper falling off. It is indicative of a house in that road and to be fair the road is very quiet at night, but felt like we were sleeping in Granny’s old house with children coming in at all hours of the night to head to their bedroom. One of the rooms didn’t have a wardrobe or drawers to unpack, the other one only had hanging cupboard space. No safe in the room, no dressing gowns. Should be relisted as a shared Air BnB. Would not recommend.

Very disappointing experience. We arrived fairly late to a room drastically different from what we booked. We very intentionally booked a king size room and arrived to a queen with some noticeable decor downgrades. There were exposed wires hanging out of the wall, and the floors weren’t particularly clean. The response from Staff was rude, dismissive and unacceptable. We have now had zero response from them for over two days. I would not book this property due to this bait and switch and false advertising. Very poor hospitality for a company named hospitality Nola. See photos for booking photo as well as what we arrived to.

Spacious lodging and well appointed guest house; beautiful courtyard. It was very clean. Steven was super helpful and had great information on New Orleans. The location is great; just above Royal and 20 min walk to Jackson Square in the French Quarter. Good, safe quiet neighborhood, with easy parking.

I had the great pleasure of a stay at the Pierre Coulon Guesthouse in New Orleans. This is not just reminiscent of an old New Orleans house. It is truly Old New Orleans! The apartment built in 1831 is just as their website states, a comfortable, peaceful, and relaxing place to stay. While nothing seems flashy brand new, it is beautiful, well furnished, and so cozy. I only utilized one bedroom, but for a larger group, there is a second. The bathroom is well appointed. It’s certainly a home away from home. The courtyard is just lovely. A great spot to just enjoy being in the City of New Orleans. The owner is kind and knowledgeable. Also available to offer tips and suggestions. I look forward to another visit.

Perfect room for a short quick getaway.

House was beautiful. Room looked nice. Very short walk to Bourbon, Frenchman, Jackson Square, as well as really cute shops and cafes, without being in the busy, crowded, and loud areas. There is no 24 hour service, nor do they really have a front desk of any kind. They were unable to send the code in advance, like they said that they would. We flew across country all day and had to contact **********, as well as call the manager multiple times before we were able to reapond and give us the code. There was no service during the stay and no known place to return dirty towels or garbage. The listing said two twins, but it appeared that it was two twins pushed together to make a larger bed. Water in shower was hard to regulate and was often too hot. We had extended our stay a day and set up a separate reservation for a different room. Talked with management about making sure that we would recieve the code for the room and they said that we would send it at 11am the morning of. We did not hear from them until we texted after 4pm. We were told that there would be luggage storage. It was a small space under the stairs but it was so full of boxes and other items, that there really wasn't space to put bags. Second room was bigger (except for bed) and nicer, with updated bathroom and shower. There was no hot water in the shower and maybe 2 minutes of tepid water. I wouldn't recomend this place, but it mught work for people who the above doesn't bother them.

1 year. Found this off the beaten path in NO. It is on the North end of the French Quarter. It is in the "Art District". It was a short walk to Frenchmans Street where all the cool jazz clubs and Restaurants were and just a short drive to all the other NO activities. Quiet residential area. The old mansion has been turned into a hotel/ BnB but there we no brkfst due to COVID.In its day this was a fine residence with exquisite workmanship. That was a long time ago. The vibe of its past remains but It was not modernized so the rooms were rustic but functional. It suited our needs and I am easy so no problem except the water pressure in the old clawfoot tub /shower. The managers were not onsite and it is run by a mgt team. Just suit your expectations and enjoy the history, courtyard, and proximity to the areas restaurants and sights and enjoy yourself at a reasonable rate for a few nights.

It was our first visit to NOLA and we wanted to stay in "a house with balcony." The owners forewarn that this is an old building and that things aren't the same as they would be in a modern place. At the end of the day, we didn't spend that much time inside. The hotel is within walking distance from the French Quarter but the neighborhood is very quiet and my daughter and I always felt safe walking in the evenings. I was staying in the infamous Royal #5 with the bathroom across the hall. I missed this detail in the room description and not having the advertised bathrobes in the room was definitely a surprise. But, at the end of the day, all of once lived in a dorm :). I never ran into a single soul during my "trips" across the hall. Also didn't see any hotel staff ever. While we didn't travel during the busy season, the stay wasn't that cheap - over $100 per night.
