紐哈芬耶魯歐姆尼飯店(Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale)

Work trip. Old but nice.

When we checked in at noon we were told our room was ready but if we wanted to check in before 3:00pm there would be a $75 early check in fee. The young man at the counter was very rude, never smiled or made eye contact. When we asked if we could check our bag he said yes with the bellman and told us we could tip him. The rooms are dated and you could hear doors slamming and sirens throughout the day and morning

Bed sheet was blood stained. Have photos and sent it to management. They were too booked to do anything. Had to sleep with my son in the other bed. Next day still not changed when I arrived late back. Should have made a seen and taken it down to the reception.

The check in was horrible. We got there early for check-in and was told to go to restaurant and have lunch and they would give us first room ready. We went to restaurant, and it was closed, the front desk does not know that? We went for a walk and came back after check-in time and they still, three hours later, did not have a room ready. Parking was difficult, they had the front entrance taped off even though it did not appear any work was underway. I had to go around block and call hotel to figure out if there was a valet available. The location is surrounded by many bars with loud patrons screaming until 2am when everything is closed. I have stayed at this property for 40 years and hope to never stay again.

Very nice hotel. Bell staff, front desk, and cleaning ladies are impressive. We were missing a coffee machine and it took them a really long time to bring a new one. Also, service at the restaurant on the top floor was SO slow that we and 2 other families had to leave before getting our food!

AC was adjusted and filter replaced for comfortable temperature. A tea pot was delivered to my room to make a tea in the afternoon.Warm welcoming staff at front desk and outside. Great bar and light dinner provided on the 23 floor. Staff there were accommodating. Great stay experience
