I was trying to book for 8/5/24 and while searching for hotels my dates reset to current date without me noticing. I booked a hotel and immediately realized it booked same day and not my date.
I called customer service for Hyatt immediately. They said they couldn’t help but said they’d approve the reschedule when ******* called for approval.
I contacted ******* chat and they were AWFUL to work with. They told me they called and site manager denied. I explained I already called customer service and they said a switch would be approved BUT ******* chat agent wouldn’t agree to calling customer service or calling again. They stuck to their claim I would be charged.
I called Hyatt again and they told me it wasn’t them charging, it was *******s terms and conditions.
I called ******* within an hour of my accidental booking and they were absolutely no help. Had I booked straight through with the hotel and not a third party, I would have been able to fix this easily. Instead, working with a third party was terrible and I was charge for the room and told it’s non-refundable.
Both ******* and Hyatt were terribly difficult.
