We are a family of 4 and Cysuites was a no-brainer. We wanted a room that can fit us all, and the apartments here are very spacious with 2 bedrooms, a large toilet and a basic kitchen (with functioning microwave, kettle and fridge). Plus it is close to Parklands, one of the best areas to be based in and only about 10-15min by Bolt to the malls. The security is tight and even on the ground floor, we didn’t have issues with our belongings. There is also a safe in the room. Where it counts the apartments were well fitted. The beds are very comfortable, with mosquito nettings although we never had to use the nets. Where the rooms are evidently worn out, daily maintenance has been excellent and it’s kept clean. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool which we didn’t use, and there is also a restaurant with quite a lot on menu (although we didn’t eat there). Folks running the place are friendly. There is a big fish eatery just a 100m stroll down the road though, which serves really excellent fish dishes. Could the hotel be better? Yea sure. The apartment is naturally aired (no central air conditioning) so if the city’s burning wood to keep warm, the smell seeps in. The church next door would also wake you up with loud music on all weekend mornings. We were also given a ground floor unit facing the laundry room, and it gets a little noisy when staff chit chats loudly just outside our room. I also wished the stove was in working condition. But taking everything into perspective, the hotel ticks the boxes for a traveling family, and is nicely priced in an affluent district in central Nairobi. Despite some shortcomings, I highly recommend Cysuites for a comfortable stay.
