Walker's Bluff Casino Resort

Fairly new hotel, very clean and comfortable. Staff was new but very helpful. ****** is in same building , also has a Winery close on property.

The immediate area around the ****** is very nice. The ****** was impeccabley clean with the best staff I have experienced. However the surrounding area in and around the city of Carbondale is blighted with derelict buildings and high crime. I remember when Carbondale was a nice area at one time. What happened?

The hotel is new so it should be clean. It was! All the people we came in contact with were polite and professional. The machines are “tight”, but a nice selection.

We were in the area touring SIU with our son. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were large and the staff was very helpful. The only negative I have to say, the water pressure in our room was not great. They have a pub/bar which is connected to the ******, so we were not able to eat there with our son. I wish they had another restaurant connected (besides the steak seafood place), or a separate entry to the pub so my son would have been able to eat in there as well. My husband ended up grabbing food from the pub and bringing it up to the room for all of us.

Stayed here for a softball tournament nearby. This was an excellent choice! Pool, hot tub and eats for the teens, and ******, nightlife and comfy beds for the parents. Can’t wait to stay again. This is our new go to for this tournament.

This hotel and ****** is brand new and very attractive. As some other guests have stated the beds are not super comfortable but they are not awful, just not the top of the line beds typical of resort settings. They had 3 choices of places to eat, we ate at the sports bar and it was pretty good. Typical chain restaurant style bar food. I wish we would have tried the Vine restaurant instead. We gambled for a bit but most games, even the penny slots are at least a 50 cent minimum bet so it can be a little expensive if you are not a big gambler. I went to the Spa and had a facial. It was not great unfortunately. The products used were great but the facial itself felt rushed and just kind of no effort. My eyebrow make up and eye make up was still in tact at the end and it was definitely not worth 100 dollars. But, not a huge issue, I would try them again. The biggest challenge we had while there was getting the water hot! It took letting the water run for 10 minutes and more at times to be able to take more than a luke warm shower. It eventually got hot but put us in a bit of a time crunch. Overall the place is fine. New with the possibility of cool amenities.

We enjoyed ourselves at this location. Very nice and clean. Can't wait to come back for a longer stay.

Would have enjoyed it more if the ****** didn't close and not open till late the next morning and the shower had been cleaned properly instead of us cleaning it ourselves.

Very clean rooms and friendly atmosphere. The pool was nice and clean and so was the hottub.
