An un-planned two-night stay here, necessitated by the temporary failure of Lufthansa, was a pleasant experience as the hotel offered a large and comfortable room with great heating and good (if older) ensuite amenities. It doesn't look like 'posh' hotel, but it was comfortable and the location is great for the Hbf rail station -and for one of the nightlife areas. It isn't a long walk from the old town either. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable.
I can not recommend this hotel. This hotel is not ready for guests. Everyday we had something wrong with our room, floor, and follow thru with staff. The rooms are incredibly hot due to heated floors and heated toilet seat, no way to turn them off. On top of that, there signature M club is not open. Been delayed several times, next date is mid January. Additionally, due to opening too soon, this hotel is using an outside company to clean the rooms. These are not Marriott employees. Unfortunately someone stole all my cash on our first day. The management did not do anything to correct this serious issue. Lastly, please do not stay at this hotel for at least six months from this review. Too many issues to risk your stay, and definitely not up to Marriott standard.

The rooms are advertised as apart-hotel rooms for longer stays, but they are small and they mostly just traded a proper size wardrobe for a space for a kitchen sink and a microwave. The website says ”Kitchenette” but you can't really cook anything... Also, no dish soap or sponge is provided, and you have to grab plates and cutleries yourself from the restaurant area downstairs. This could easily be fixed. Also the website says there is a desk but there really isn't. What you get is a small coffee table with a low seat. Impossible to seat and expect to work comfortably on it. No laundry service or washing machines available in the hotel either. The receptionist pointed me to the mall to clean my clothes, which is very far if you don't have a car. They should at least have a partnership with external laundry service and organize pickups... Other than that, the staff was super friendly and professional. Nice hotel design, clean and good breakfast too. So I would recommend the place only for short stays.
訪訪客Hotel is located a bit away from marienplatz and the downtown shopping area . It isn”t a problem because public transportation is at your front door . taxis and the train station are near by . The hotel staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived . Pia and Jan in the restaurant took excellent care of us at dinner ,food was tasty and nicely presented . The breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty with a good selection to get your day started . Our room was clean , well maintained and quiet . Would definety stay again if we return to Munich . Thanks for a great stay !
訪訪客We are here now. Reserved 2 rooms to accommodate 4 people, one for 3 adults, the other for 1 adult. They brought us a roll away bed for the 3rd adult and when I asked the front desk, they said they had no rooms to accommodate 3 adults with 3 proper beds. (Then why offer it as an option?). We were offered to move to a larger room, for the larger price, but would still only get the roll away bed for the 3rd adult. Accommodations…..incredibly dissatisfied. Especially for a 5 star hotel. We were ignored, not exaggerating, when we pulled up with our vehicle. While trying to parallel park to unload, 2 employees stood joking around. A colleague stopped what he was doing, interrupted them, and all but got in their face to tell them to help us! At this point I was pissed! And mind you, i was outside of the car and they had no idea i was with the car……so i was witness to it all. They were kissing the feet of the others (who were not wearing sweat pants) and legitimately IGNORED us. I was PISSED. Not because I’m stuck on myself, but because it’s so true. If you don’t LOOK a certain way, especially at this 5 star hotel, YOU WILL BE IGNORED. Don’t hate on me for my honest review. Just know that if TRUE luxury is what you’re seeking, no matter what you look like or what you drive, you may have better luck down the road. It’s not here. Best of luck and let’s hope I’m one of the few who has had to experience this.
訪訪客While the hotel stay was comfortable and the rooms a nice and clean we found the front desk staff rude and unhelpful. From the start they have shown no courtesy, I called up the hotel from the station to inquire about the location and landmark and found the person speaking to me couldnt care less about giving directions. Then when we arrived there, there was no one at the front desk. Since there are two Holiday Inns adjacent to each other we were confused as to which one is ours and kept the cab waiting to check. Finally we had to let the cab go as not one was there to answer our query. After a long wait the lady manning the front desk finally emerged from the cabin and was very rude with us. She couldnt find our reservation, we had to panic call the booking.com customer service and incurred a huge mobile bill for the international call only so that we could confirm our booking. She insisted we had not paid for our rooms and we had to argue and show proof of payment. Any query we had about the hotel amenities or sightseeing were unhelpfully answered. The person who looks after the snacks corner was the only congenial and courteous person. The hotel is within walking distance of a train station and the bus stop is right outside the drive way, There are some good restaurants about 5- 7 minutes walk from the hotel. Lidl is a stones throw away so are a few other grocery stores. Once you get the hang of the place its pretty convenient. The only reason why the rating is average is because the hotel is good and the rooms were comfortable and neat. Otherwise only based on their customer service it would be poor.
訪訪客The place is nice as a family, has 2 rooms and a kitchen. But the sofa is basically unusable as it's so uncomfortable. The beds are way too soft and the mattress topper keeps sliding down and you have a lot less bed. Pillows are also very flimsy. Kitchen is ok. ”Sharp” knife and scissors don't cut. Washing machine but no place to hang clothes. NO HOOKS IN THE BATHROOMS. All your towels will stay crumbled somewhere. So much room for improvement and it wouldn't even cost that much.
