I had the misfortune of staying at this hotel from 10 October to 15 October . During my stay, I encountered a number of unsatisfactory service levels. First, I could not proceed check in at 3PM and took almost an hour to complete even thought I had a confirmed reservation with my reservation printout. When I asked the reception staff on duty about the reason of the delay, they said it was because the reservation system was down but they could actually find my reservation from the tray on the front desk! Second, when I entered the room, I realized there are dusts inside and dirt on the outside of water kettle; also, mold is found at the ventilation in the toilet. I asked for a clean kettle before noon on the 14 Oct before I left the hotel for lunch; and when I returned my room at 5PM, the same dirty kettle was still in my room. I have brought the dirty kettle down to reception and ask again for a clean one. Staff on duty refused to change for me until I insisted a clean one is a must. I don't think their staff treated my request seriously. Third, as we all know the deposit of empty plastic water bottle can be refunded from supermarket in Germany. I have placed 3 empty bottles on the desk, not in the bin from the 1st day of my stay. When I returned to my room on the 3rd day, all empty bottles were gone while the trash in the bin were still there. Lastly, according to their laundry service request form, regular laundry (NOT DRY CLEANING) service is available from Mon to Sun 8.30AM-7.00PM. I have placed my order with the form completed as ”Laundry Service” before 8.30am on 15 Oct. Nothing has returned until 7PM. I was told by the staff on duty the information about service time on the form is incorrect for more than a year. She did not offer any help. She just kept asking me why the staff did not tell me no laundry service on Saturday in the morning. Her attitude was so bad and kind of blame on me. There was no customer service at all. I am sure this is my worst hotel stay experience so far. I am extremely disappointed from this bitter experience.

我在慕尼黑東區酒店住了2晚，整體來說我對這家酒店的印象非常好。酒店的位置非常方便，距離地鐵站和公交車站都很近，這讓我在慕尼黑市中心的各個景點之間來回很容易。酒店附近也有許多餐廳和商店，非常方便。 我住的房間非常乾淨和舒適，床很舒服，我度過了一個非常良好的夜晚。房間裡還有一些現代化的設備，例如平板電視和免費WiFi。酒店的工作人員也非常友善和樂於助人，我非常感謝他們提供的優質服務。 酒店的設施也非常棒，例如早餐很好吃，提供了各種各樣的選擇，可以滿足不同人的口味。 總體來說，我非常推薦慕尼黑東區酒店。這是一家非常出色的酒店，位置方便，設施完善，服務優質。如果您正在計劃前往慕尼黑，不妨考慮住在這裡。

在德國出差一周住了三個地方，這家入住體驗是最差的一家。從踏進這家酒店的大門開始就能感覺到前台的冷漠服務態度惡劣，但好在衹住了兩晚。預定這個酒店前我看的評論全都是好評然而實際卻大相徑庭。希望真實的評論能給其他人更好的參考。

I’m Scandic Friend Member and really like Scandic hotels. Usually is amazing breakfast, great locations and great rooms. München Manceri was a big disappointment: Small room, uncomfortable bed with two single beds containing tougher, not a king bed as described, very small blanket if you tall, not fit for 190cm tall!!! Biggest disappointment is breakfast. Very limited choice of food. Food not tasty at all. No fresh juice just from concentrate. And totally overpriced- €21 per person. Parking at hotel is 30€ per day! Super expensive for Germany prices. Hotel new, room new, big led Tv. Far from city center. It was very uncomfortable and not pleasant stay at Scandic hotels ever! Only good things is staff.

I'm a tour guide and stay away from home for almost half the year, in hotels. You won't see much criticism from me on online platforms. Nevertheless, this deserves a very negative criticism. I stayed at the Gambino Hotel Werksviertel for two days, April 19th and 20th (of 2023). As I was dealing with my guests who happened to be staying at another hotel, I got to my room late and wanted to sleep right away. I couldn't believe my eyes that an insect had actually run into my bed. But when I lifted the mattress, I actually saw it again and videotaped it. Gambino is a hotel chain that offers a free water and bottle of beer to their customers who opt-out to have housekeeping during their stay. The hotel is said to be cutting back on cleaning staff and passing the savings back to its customers in the form of free water and beer. What a great idea ha!? And the hygiene? ”Well it might not work perfectly; but at least you get your beer for free”... I don't know what you would think but for me I'd rather turn down a beer and water a day but make sure the room, where I live is properly cleaned. As you can imagine, being in the hospitality industry myself, I insisted on speaking to the manager on duty and there was neither a manager nor a supervisor present in the night shift, which was another surprise to me. However, the receptionist assured me that ”he e-mailed my contacts to the manager; so I should expect him to call me tomorrow”. When I asked to change my room, I received one right away. But even this second one, although (thank God) no insects were sighted, was not cleaned properly, either (and I claim this based on the hair and feathers found on the ground next to the baton, which I also photographed). While checking out, I asked the manager one more time and the receptionist told me ”the Manager was very busy but would certainly call.” As you can imagine, nobody called me the next day or ever. For me this hotel is a no-go; by the way, my agency booked me there (meaning I didn't pay a cent to stay; and even then, I wouldn't ever stay here, again). Yet, you would pay money to stay here; I would humbly suggest that you reconsidered.

Clean modern rooms with friendly and helpful staff. Great family room options with 2 adjoining twin rooms. Short tram/train ride to the city. Extensive breakfast buffet spread tops the experience. Highly recommended for a budget friendly visit to Munich.

While the hotel stay was comfortable and the rooms a nice and clean we found the front desk staff rude and unhelpful. From the start they have shown no courtesy, I called up the hotel from the station to inquire about the location and landmark and found the person speaking to me couldnt care less about giving directions. Then when we arrived there, there was no one at the front desk. Since there are two Holiday Inns adjacent to each other we were confused as to which one is ours and kept the cab waiting to check. Finally we had to let the cab go as not one was there to answer our query. After a long wait the lady manning the front desk finally emerged from the cabin and was very rude with us. She couldnt find our reservation, we had to panic call the booking.com customer service and incurred a huge mobile bill for the international call only so that we could confirm our booking. She insisted we had not paid for our rooms and we had to argue and show proof of payment. Any query we had about the hotel amenities or sightseeing were unhelpfully answered. The person who looks after the snacks corner was the only congenial and courteous person. The hotel is within walking distance of a train station and the bus stop is right outside the drive way, There are some good restaurants about 5- 7 minutes walk from the hotel. Lidl is a stones throw away so are a few other grocery stores. Once you get the hang of the place its pretty convenient. The only reason why the rating is average is because the hotel is good and the rooms were comfortable and neat. Otherwise only based on their customer service it would be poor.
