It was very good and pleasant stay. The breakfast served was very good and included the breads dosa sambhar idli juices and ***y more things. Easy to reach the location and comfortable rooms makes it one of the best hotels in economy. If anyone going to mumbai for the first time I would recommend this hotel to them

Lovely stay for 1 night before flying home to UK . Staff very friendly at check in Room clean and tidy with complimentary water and tea & coffee . Hotel is in a busy but safe area . We walked to a restaurant and then had a drink in the hotel bar with outside seating. Very quiet room and the hotel arranged a taxi to take us back to the airport.

Stay was comfortable, food was ok. But the room size is small for the cost of the room. Since the hotel is not on the main road, it is quiet, but the approach road is through a little small street with shops and vendors around. However, its near the airport and so was fine for a one day stay.

Allow me to state that the staff here were excellent and very very helpful.
However, this is not somewhere where any westerner would want to stay.
The neighborhood is terrible and the hotel itself is in rough shape.
If you're transiting, stay at the Niranta hotel in the airport. If you have an extended stay in Mumbai, get a hotel in Navi Mumbai.
I've travelled extensively throughout India and can handle most places, but I couldn't wait to leave.

I had one of the best Indian meals of my life this morning at breakfast at the Aster Oriental Hotel. The a**osphere was relaxing and the food was scrumptious. Perfect idlis , fresh coconut chutney, mini puris with potato. It brought a big smile to my face. Thank you, chef! The truth is all meals I’ve ordered on room service were also divine.

The Oriental Aster is located on a busy side street near the airport. Rooms are nice and spacious. Beds were comfortable. However my sleep was disturbed by traffic noise from street below, dogs barking from the street below and doors slamming in the corridor. Breakfast was ok. If noise doesn’t bother you than it is a nice choice
