美麗山汽車旅館(Mount Beauty Motor Inn)

We had been coming here for years - a basic motel but the location suited us. There were never any problems when Steve, who was a local, owned the motel but now these anonymous Geelong investors seem to think that they dont have to honour bookings. We got a text message saying our long standing booking for Dec/Jan has been cancelled because they got a better offer from workers who had been staying at the motel. This leaves us totally in the lurch as it is really difficult to get accomodation that time of the year. I cant believe how unprofessional that is - its the first time its ever happened to me. Why would you ever book this motel again if you have no certainty the booking will be honoured. Go elsewhere or try AirBnB!

I booked this venue last year planning for doing the Kangaroo Hoppet in 2023. For no reason given the venue cancelled my booking. Most inconvenient and somewhat unscrupulous perhaps hoping to get a higher paying customer. Don’t trust that your booking with this venue will be honoured when the time comes.

Great budget motel. Staff were friendly, Rebecca was great to deal with from The start of the stay to the end. Prime location 30 mins from Falls Creek and 400m away from the local Foodworks. The room was clean, had working amenities and big enough for 2. Bathroom had been freshly renovated. Only things I would suggest is for the shower to have some source of light above it as when you close the shower curtain it can be a bit dark, and also some more signage on parking as some motel-goers parked on angles as well as straight. We had to knock on the door of the next room to ask them to kindly move their car so we could fit haha. All in all a positive experience staying at the Mount Beauty Motor Inn, would definitely stay there again.
