The Lookout Guest House

Ein traumhaftes Appartement, wunderschön eingerichtet, viel Platz, tolles Bett mit Aussicht über die Stadt, großes Bad mit Dusche und Sprudelbadewanne, ein separates Kaminzimmer mit schöner Selbstbedienungsbar mit Kasse des Vertrauens. Eine weite, große Terrasse mit Glasfront und einem gigantischen Blick über die Stadt/Bucht. Herman war ein wunderbarer, äußerst freundlicher Gastgeber, unheimlich hilfsbereit, und zuvorkommend! Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht da waren, da muss man länger da sein, um es richtig genießen zu können. Ach und ein tolles Frühstück gab es auch noch-höchst individuell! Danke dafür!

Modernes, gut ausgestattetes in hervorragender Aussichtslage über Mosselbay, trotzdem in Fussdistanz zum Hafen. Herman kümmert sich schon während der Anreise um seine Gäste und informiert sie laufen über das Wichtigste und ist immer für sie da.

By far the best accommodation we had on our Garden Route tour. We were therefore happy to extend our stay by another day. The furnishings are very well thought out, attractive and not run down. The rooms are very clean and tidy and have air conditioning. The breakfast is very good and the scrambled eggs are probably the best in Africa ;) (I recommend the avo toast with scrambled eggs) Herman is an outstanding host! He takes great care, explains everything and is happy to help with travel planning. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars from us and an extra one for Herman :) See you soon!

We stayed here for one night on our way from Plettenberg Bay to the wine region. The view is stunning. We upgraded our room (for around £10 on ***********) which was beautiful. Extremely clean with a massive bathroom and the biggest shower we have ever seen. Herman was so helpful with recommendations of where to eat and made reservations for us. The property was secure with parking and you could walk into the town and get a taxi back up (due to the hill). The breakfast was lovely and it was amazing to eat out on the balcony with the stunning view where you can spot whales and dolphins. The honesty bar worked well and we would highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at The Lookout. The property is spacious, clean and has the most amazing views of Mossel Bay. Herman and his wife were so welcoming and gave us loads of recommendations. Breakfast was fantastic, in fact one of the best we had on our trip! Do not hesitate in booking.

Das Guesthouse bietet einen unglaublichen Blick über Mosselbay und das Meer. Herman, der Besitzer, war super freundlich sowie hilfsbereit. Die Ausstattung ist top und das Frühstück ein Genuss. Alles in allem 5 von 5 Sterne. Wir würden jeder Zeit wieder herkommen.

From the moment I contacted Herman Esterhuizen from the Lookout Guest House, I was impressed by the friendly and professional service provided. Upon our arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Elzaane Esterhuizen, who was able to recommend several restaurants and places of interest. We were extremely impressed with the facilities which includes modern décor, spacious rooms, guest lounge with TV and honesty bar, billiard room, secure parking, and breathtaking views. Our master suite was large with fantastic views, and a huge en-suite bathroom with both a jacuzzi and massive walk-in shower. Our one-night stay at the Lookout Guest House was without doubt the highlight of our trip down the Garden Route. Our only regret was that we did not spend a few more days at the Lookout Guest House. We will certainly be back!

The welcome and introductory tour of The Lookout was first class and supported by the fantastic balcony vista - better than an infinity pool with near full 360 of Mossel Bay. Local cuisine recommendations were excellent along with the honesty bar wine selection. Great venue.

The Lookout Guest House is exceptional. Everything from the welcome, to the room, the breakfast and the help from Herman and his team was absolutely first class. I can see why there are so many excellent reviews. We stayed for four nights and it was the perfect spot to stay in Mossel Bay. The views over the bay were amazing and we were local to all the restaurants and activities nearby. Herman was great offering up a huge amount of potential activities and restaurants and went as far as booking meals for us once we decided where we wanted to go. We would recommend The Lookout without any hesitation and would love to go back in the future.
