布賴爾伍德飯店(Minecart Motor Lodge)

Reservations for a king bed, confirmed, then told via phone call there was no king available. We had been changed to a queen. When we arrived, we were given a room key. The room was occupied by someone already with their personal items in room. We had to find and alert staff, then told there were no rooms. After several phone calls, offered a different room without credit or compensation. Very unsafe situation when entering an occupied space, without the guest knowledge. Not sure we’ll stay there again.

Booked a room for myself for a work trip because the website boasted that it had be redone and it was 2 blocks away from where I needed to be. The lobby was nice, they provided water and snacks. The girl who checked me in was very nice and efficient. That's the end of the good. I was put in room 20 which is in an alcove all by itself. The door does not have a deadbolt, chain, or any way of locking it. Any child could open that door and easily run into traffic. I was uncomfortable because the door could easily be opened by anyone with a key card or a strong kick. The cars in the parking lot on either side of my car were also older, filthy, and full of trash. The towels hanging had stains and hairs. I pulled all the towels out to see if there were any I was comfortable using and found another hair and 3 more towels with stains. There was also a stain on the bed. When I went to tell the front desk, she seemed shocked there was an issue and said she would "let her boss know." I had an eerie gut feeling to get out of there, so I did. When I left, there was a guy walking by my car, looking in the windows. They refuse to provide a refund even though I didn't feel safe staying.

We liked that it was near the highway. Thought it was odd that they precharged our credit card as security and then reversed charges upon check out, rather than just kept a card on file.

Newly renovated property was clean and comfortable. Perfect stay while visiting family in the area. Continental breakfast items/snacks were available. Definite consideration for a return stay in the future.

The room was very simple. No fridge or microwave. Just a bed and bathroom. Which was fine. The room was clean and bed comfortable.

Excellent service. Friendly employee who went out of his way to ensure a pleasant, multi-day stay. Would definitely stay again!

Would not recommend this motel. The conditions are generally poor and the rooms all face a busy and noisy road.

This property is the best value in Montrose. Obviously completely remodeled inside and out including brand, new mattresses, sheets, pillows, etc. Upgraded fixtures in the bathroom, fresh paint, flooring, etc. Pet friendly. Seamless check in and communication with the owners.

For as inexpensive as this is, it’s tremendous! They were very hands on for the check in with good information texts and helpful with the self check in. The room is basic, but super clean and well renovated. Would definitely stay here again, best deal around.
