蒙特雷沖浪旅館(Monterey Surf Inn)

It is old but good enough for the price.

Great location. Clean place. Friendly staff. My friend and I had a great time here.

The cleaning products that the staff have to use are extraordinarily pungent, toxic, and smelly: rank. I'm not — actually — that sensitive to cleaning products, but I had to open the windows immediately, which still didn't really help much. I had to leave the windows wide open the whole time, too, when in the room. Some plugs and switches in the room didn't work, and there was black mold in the bathroom. Overhead lights in the room were harsh flourescent-like white. I used to like this place. New management? No idea. The bed was fine. The shower head had crusty mold.

It was a decent little inn, but there were a few problems during my stay. The place was under construction. Only one entrance was accessable when I arrived, but when I left they had both blocked and had to wait for them to move everything so I could leave. They also started working at 8 in the morning which is the main reason I didn't really enjoy my stay. Minor issues with the room we that there was no coffee maker. The only one was a keurig in the lobby. Then the electrical plugs were hidden behind the nightstand. I wasn't able to get an early check in as well, but not an issue really. Again, very minor issues. I'm hoping to give this place another shot in the future when there's no construction.

The room was smelling bad. The heater was not warming the room. Bathroom toilet was moving from its base. Overall its not a good one for family stay.

Inside unit towel rack broken, smoke detector cover with plastic not remove after painting, internet connection bad. The staff need to check the unit before renting.
