I stayed at the Resident Inn Marriott in Mobile Alabama.950 W I-65 Service Rd S.These are pictures from my Room218 Dec23-27,2023 Queen One bedroom Suite. My room looked nothing like the pictures shown online. It was very disappointing.I have several emails from contacting customer service all weekend about the condition of the room. I spoke with the lady at the front desk. She was very unbothered. There was no hot water, water damage on the ceilings, the appliance(stovetop)was broken with missing knobs. The carpet was stained. The dishwasher had the insulation or whatever it was coming out of the sides. The rooms were smelly and dingy.Just not Marriott quality at all.No housekeeping or cleaning done or available during the stay. You had to take your own trash out.The front desk lady told me when I checked in said that she would place a work order and someone would be by the next day. However, there was no truth to that at all, the next evening I went down to inquire, the guy at the front desk said there was no work order and he had no idea what I was talking about. They also slid a letter under our door at some point that said they let their staff off for the holidays. It would have been nice to know upon check in so we were told and we could have found somewhere else to stay. I have never stayed at a hotel where there was minimal to no staff. Terrible experience for a Christmas Holiday weekend. On a positive note and the only positive was the male staff (Marquise) that was very pleasant keeping breakfast stocked. The front desk staff was not concerned at all. When, I checked out,I mentioned the condition of the room and all the guy said was ”Im sorry”.There was nothing he could do because I booked through third party but I could call the General Manager which will be in by9.I spoke with her.She said to send her the pictures to her email and she would go take a look before she leaves for the day.She also said she left her phone at home and she would check the email that I sent with pics included and I did not hear anything else from her.Again, what was advertised online nice and clean is not what I ended up with in person. It was total opposite. The online advertising was very misleading.
Wonderful stay at the property and would highly recommend. Came for a tennis tournament and had to make trip modifications with the hurricane travel issues. When I initially called to make changes to reservation property was sold out Thursday but had reservation Friday and Saturday. Asked to see if I could add day and try would try to make it happen as I traveled on Thursday. This is when Sue from the front desk went the extra mile. Got a call ensuring me I had the room which eased my nerves as I traveled and as very appreciative. When I arrived at hotel was greeted by Sue and couldn’t have been more appreciative. I had a terrible customer experience with the airline earlier in the day and was extra appreciative of how kind and welcoming she was. I highly recommend the property and will be staying here for sure when we return to Mobile. Also want to give the extra kudos to Sue who really takes pride in how she treats the customers. Marriott should be very proud with how she represents the company and treats the guests.
I honestly have nothing good to say about our stay: from the initial check in to our exit, there were hiccups. Upon arrival, our room wasn't ready, and we were told we could use the pool/amenities. The valets both said we would be able to retrieve our pool bag from behind the check in desk. This seemed baffling to Riley (at the front desk) and she had no idea were the bag could be. It was literally behind her in the holding area. We were given no key or access to these amenities and repeatedly had to flag down random workers to merely use the restroom. Riley then called to notify us that our room was ready, and I said thank you... she then called again 15 minutes later as if she had never called. My husband attempted to enter the hotel from the crossing bridge, and was not allowed entry by hotel staff. Instead staff gestured for him to go back to the spa building, outside and around to the entrance of the hotel. Upon checking in, yet again the front desk staff was baffled by our ”checked in” luggage and said they had no idea where it was, we would need to check with valet. And no the luggage couldn't be placed in our room. So my husband had to again call for valet to retrieve our luggage, which AGAIN was directly behind the front desk. All of this seems to be an issue with the hotel wanting to be a ”top tier” luxury experience for a guest nut not quite following through with that expectation. Finally, once in our room, we lowered our AC to the lowest possible temperature at sometime around 3:15pm. It was not refreshingly cool in our room until well after midnight. Needless to say I will not be paying to stay at the BattleHouse again.
Very nice representation of the brand. A nice property in a quiet location. Friendly and accommodating staff that moved me to an even nicer bigger room when my original room type didn't have a refrigerator. All with a smile. The room was spacious clean and a comfortable mattress. 5 to 10 minutes from food shopping and the airport. The price was reasonable for an airport hotel. And I didn't hear any planes.
We stopped here on our way to Florida and wanted to be away from the Fat Tuesday festivities. The room was nice and clean and especially quiet. The bed was nice and firm, I have a bad back, but the pillows were worthless. Overall a decent stay. They must have a shortage of parking because they allow guests, visitors or whomever to park in front of the hotel for extended periods of time including in the evening which is a busy time for checking in. Also in the morning when checking out. All vehicles involved were Alabama licensed which makes you wonder if they were a paying guest.
TThyra DI stayed here while I'm town visiting family and I love that the common area near the pool was open until 10 & had enough seating for several of my family members to come visit and swim and watch TV and chill out afterwards. The suite was very nice and clean and we really enjoyed our stay. There are also restaurants to walk to nearby.
JjeffsJ9095CQWhat a great experience! My daughter and I stayed in a historic suite that took us back in time to the regal homes of Mobile in the civil war era. It was like stepping into a time capsule complete with modern comforts. Our host was married in the hotel years ago and took us on a walking tour of its more notorious rooms. Her love for this place was infectious. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I hope to return one day! Jeff
訪訪客We have stayed at this hotel for the past 5 years. It has always been a clean and friendly home away from home. We have tried a few other hotels but none compares. When I have traveled to Macon Georgia for a 50 year class reunion, I looked to Wyndham vs the event host hotel.
I have been living here for the past 4 months and from the very first day I arrived, Daniel checked me in and immediately made me feel like family! Over the last 4 months I can honestly say that the staff is the most amazing I have ever experienced at a hotel. With that being said Daniel always seems to be working the days and times when I am coming through. Daniel has went above and beyond to accommodate and assist in making my stay as comfortable as possible, treating me like family and being in a first name basis makes me feel like we are old friends. Daniel is a great employee and the rest of the staff has been amazing also.
訪訪客My stay was absolutely amazing. The staff was great, the room was clean, and the A/C kept me cold. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I felt safe and in my opinion they are centrally located food and shopping. Great place to stay if you come down for business or leisure.
