皇家橡樹旅館(The Royal Oak Inn)

Nous sommes allés manger à 13 (6 adultes et 7 enfants) et nous avons été très bien accueillis. Les enfants avaient des jeux pour s'occuper et nous avons tous très bien mangé, le tout, près d'un bon feu et dans un décor typique et chaleureux. C'est une adresse parfaite pour passer un moment chaleureux et convivial !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay . The room was lovely. Super comfortable bed and extremely good bedding . Attractive decoration throughout. The host was very welcoming and friendly. We stayed for two nights and ate dinner on both . The food was good and well presented. Breakfasts were also good . We would definitely love to return.

Currently staying at the Royal Oak and the new owners are doing a fantastic job with catering to everyone’s needs. Visiting with friends and Gail helped sort out rooms for us really well. Good food, good beers, very comfy rooms. Great to have parking here. Easier to drive here than we thought it might be too!

We had dinner at the Royal Oak, we found the food to be of a very high standard- main courses off the specials board, pork and venison pie plus oceans pie, delicious. Followed by tasty cheesecake. Can never go wrong with a couple of pints of Tribute too

This was our first visit since change of management. We booked for Sunday lunch and we’re not disappointed, my husband had the lamb shank and I had a pork chop, there were plenty of vegetables and the roast potatoes were lovely and crispy. The portions were enough to satisfy our appetites, so unfortunately couldn’t manage a dessert. The staff were attentive and friendly. We will definitely visit again and recommend. Good luck to the new management, if going by the number of people today I am sure it will be successful.

I live in Exmoor. This is the most expensive pub on the Moor Their web page for their menu is not correct £18 for a very mediocre ploughman's lunch is outrageus A pint of Guinniss £6.50 (£3.20 in Weatherspoons) They say our pubs are struggling, well it is not suprising with prices like this. Who would go back after being ripped off

Really great food after a walk on the moors! We did feel a bit lost when we first walked in as there didn’t seem to be anyone to approach. But after that the service was great and attentive. Great menu with lots of choice and big portions!! Will definitely be back when we are next down here!

New Year’s Eve dinner with friends. Popped us in a comfy corner . Very clean and tidy everywhere. 3 of us had roasts beef , pork and lamb absolutely gorgeous. Loads of meat and fantastic selection of vegetables all cooked to perfection. 1 had fish and chips which was equally cooked to perfection. Lemon roulade and cream for dessert. Lovely staff looked after us so well. Really friendly and kind nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous location plenty of parking . Facilities all cleaned beautifully. Highly recommended

Great little pub at the end of a long walk from Tarr Steps, well worth it though. Taking the car next time. Very welcoming, food excellent, Exmoor Ales Very dog friendly as well, just perfect. If you are visiting Tarr Steps you have got to visit this place.
