布萊爾穀倉飯店(Briar Barn Inn)

We had a wonderful stay at the Briar Barn Inn. Our regular king suite was clean and cozy but also had plenty of room. It included a soaking tub and a walk-in shower, fireplace and a sitting area with Hulu Live TV. The bed was among the most comfortable we've ever slept in. Breakfast were croissants, scones and muffins the front desk told us were from local bakeries and coffee. It's a 15-20 minute drive to Crane Beach ($40 per car) and a 20-minute drive to Plum Island ($20 per car). It was our first New England inn experience, and it was a very good one. The restaurant was closed for July 4 while we were there.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. The staff were outstanding. They went out of their way to make sure we felt at home, paying special attention to our two kids (6 and 2 years old). The hotel itself is really pretty and the room was beautiful. Very clean, very comfortable. The continental breakfast was spectacular, with pastries from local bakeries. The pool was also a lovely amenity. Clean and beautifully maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rather than listing the amenities I will just say that every amenity that they offer on their website is fulfilled capably. The rooms are sumptuous, hot water is abundant, staff is great and the breakfast rolls are ridiculously good. I have stayed on both first and second floors and although nothing is wrong with the first floor room, the high (Very) ceilings facing the courtyard are just a nice space. The sitting areas all over the hotel are great for coffee and conversation. The only problem I see with the Briar Barn is that a person may come to sightsee in Essex or Cape Ann or Newburyport but spend more time in the hotel than outside. Well Done.

The continental breakfast was well done. Kathleen , who checked us in was delightful and very welcoming!

I travel quite a bit for business, and I would say this was the best experience that I have had. Everything about the staff and facility were excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with everything. It is a beautiful facility with so many warm touches that I look forward to bringing my wife with me the next time. My room had a gas, log fireplace, and the bathroom had a beautiful shower and bathtub.

This hotel was so beautiful and comfortable. Very details was considered and executed perfectly. The room was gorgeous and thoughtfully designed. , Great sheets and bed, fireplace, gorgeous bathroom, everything really nice. The people were friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommended.

Truly a hidden gem. Restaurant was clearly the best food in the area. Room had EVERYTHING you coukd ask for...fireplace, HUGE TUB, stand up shower, BIG TV, stocked with snacks/drinks, super sift bed. Seriously all it needed was a big bath robe hanging ready for you to enjoy Spa or relax in the room. Also maybe a reclining chair near fireplace to read a book. But if you want to get away for the night with someone you need alone time with.....THIS IS THE PLACE!....even extra water waiting to rehydrate and a spa for the morning. Beautiful place....

Just one night, but a lovely experience. Cozy room with gas fireplace. Really enjoyed the spa treatments. Nice casual dinner at The Grove restaurant. Staff were welcoming and comfortable, especially Kathleen who went over and above.
