El Pueblo is a complete oasis of space, light, and hospitality. The suites are large and well laid out. There are a host of spaces and nooks throughout the property to read/sit/relax. The gardens are extensive beautifully laid out with native plants and the pool is quite large. The folks who work there are truly wonderful and Cecil and Jeremy are attentive hosts . I’ve stayed at El Pueblo twice and I would recommend it for a first time visitor to Mérida or a regular. I believe there are 7 suites in total and this would be a fantastic place to rent with a group of friends or a large family.

The facilities were not only beautiful, but well maintained and keep very clean. The service and breakfasts were outstanding, you won't want to miss that each morning. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking to stay in the area.

Stunning! Jeremy is a first class host to match the first class accommodations. Friendly, attentive, personable and engaging. Beautifully appointed common areas at every turn, with a grand pool and garden area. Relaxing retreat, a must see. The spacious, contemporary suites are remarkable as well. Loved the sky shower! A delicious, healthy and freshly prepared Breakfast each morning, accommodating some dietary restrictions, was also a highlight. Well done Jeremy and Cecil. Definitely will return and look forward to your continued success!

Cecil and Jeremy are fantastic host's and the place is impeccable. The setting is so relaxing and beautiful. The rooms are equipped with anything you could possibly need. The staff is equally as nice. I have already been telling all my friends about El Pueblo and will always refer to this beautiful place.

The website for El Pueblo is wonderful and the reality is even better. Upon arriving, we received a warm welcome from Jeremy, who introduced us to the many fine amenities of this stylish boutique B&B. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The airy terraces provide comfortable spaces to relax and refresh. The work of wonderful local artists is featured throughout the building. The expansive courtyard garden is a work of art in itself - a lush oasis in the heart of the city. The huge fresh-water pool is the perfect respite from the heat of the day. The staff are friendly and helpful and the lovely breakfasts include fresh local produce and delicious menu options. They are also happy to accomodate any requests. We highly recommend El Pueblo for a relaxing and luxurious home-away-from-home in charming Merida.

El Pueblo is the only place I want to stay in when I visit Merida. Its location is perfect: at the base of the Paseo de Montejo, walking distance to every where I want to go. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated with art and sculpture. It is airy and spacious, offering a variety of lovely spaces to read, practice yoga, meditate and socialize with other guests. This is so much nicer than being confined to a hotel room. A private chef prepares a delicious and beautiful breakfast with fresh fruit juices, artisanal breads, fresh eggs, beans, vegetables and cheeses. The 25 meter pool is a treat for swimmers. The owners are the most charming and accommodating hosts. Now I've done it: this place will be so booked next year I probably won't be able to get a room.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this gorgeous place! Stunning finishes throughout, great relaxing spaces and our room (the Parrot) was huge with walkout access to the deck overlooking the pool and gardens. Hosts Jeremy and Cecil are totally gracious. This is a unique space for sure with natural water pool, luxurious gardens great spaces to relax or converse. Breakfast made by chef Alphonso each morning was a true delight. Add to that you step out the door to shops, bars, dining and markets that are an easy walk away! The location could hardly be better as you're right in the center of the historic section.
