達拉本加瑟飯店(Dar Ben Gacem)

Position enviable dans la Medina de Tunis. L’accueil a été un peu compliqué car la personne député à l’enregistrement des hôtes n’était pas en place, mais tout le monde a cherché de se rendre utile. La maison est ancienne et meublé avec des pièces de collection. La chambres sont très grandes, suffisamment propres, un peu froides. La nôtre a eu un problème au chauffage que personne a su résoudre, on a du s’organiser avec des couvertures supplémentaires, mais cela n’a pas été si grave. Depuis la terrasse sur le toit on a l’impression de dominer la ville entière. Le petit déjeuner, copieux et varié, est servi dans la cour. Dans l’ensemble une solution authentique, avec des hics, mais surement à conseiller.

Establecimiento con mucho encanto en plena Medina de la ciudad de Túnez. Está en una casa histórica muy bien restaurada, cerca de los principales puntos turísticos a pie. Las habitaciones muy cómodas y el personal muy atento y amable. Merece mucho la pena. Los desayunos espectaculares.

Overall could not complain about this beautiful home. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and made us feel like we were at home. Sana, Dali and Youssef made our stay very comfortable. The whole team was amazing. Its located in a beautiful place. The breakfast was delicious everyday. Could not complain about anything. Definitely recommend this beautiful place for anyone traveling.

We visited Dar Ben Gacem in April. The hotel is beautiful. It retains its old charm while adding details for modern comfort. As others have written, the best thing of all is the staff. Youssef was so accommodating and helped us to find a guide for the Medina, Hassen, whose slow and deliberate pace was a nice change from the regular hustle and bustle of touring. The map of the Medina (with the "treasure hunt" for important buildings) was also great. Thank you to Dar Ben Gacem (and its sister hotel) and everyone who treated us with such kindness and hospitality.

I have just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at Dar Ben Gacem. From start to finish, the staff and surroundings were exceptional. Everyone is so friendly and kind. I stayed in the downstairs Junior Suite which was beautifully decorated. Breakfast in the courtyard was delicious and very generous. Dali deserves a special mention for being so helpful before and during my stay, helping to organise an airport transfer, lunch and an iftar meal for my first day, a guide for a medina tour as well as a driver for a day trip to Carthage, Sidi Bou Said and La Goulette. I will not forget his kindness and how welcome all of the staff made me feel. I visited during Ramadan and the medina is a special place to stay at this time, I would thoroughly recommend it.

I hope to return to Dar Ben-Gacem. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, clean and well-run, and the people are incredibly gracious and helpful. I loved being so close to the best cafes and coming back to my lovely, quiet, cozy air-conditioned room. The women who prepare and serve breakfast are cheerful and kind. When I headed to the desert with a driver arranged by the hotel, the hotel proprietor called the driver after a few hours to make sure all was well with me. It was a wonderful experience in every way.

Innanzitutto, come in tutta Tunisi, anche in questi alberghi con molte stelle, l'abbattimento delle barriere architettoniche è un sogno che si realizzerà nel 2000mai. Già questo purtroppo basterebbe per motivare il voto. Non si dica che in un palazzo storico come è questo non è possibile intervenire. Non è vero, si può fare: servono certo altri investimenti e soprattutto un altro concetto di accoglienza e di turismo che evidentemente non sono ancora patrimonio diffuso. Nel merito: il palazzo è davvero bello, così come la posizione è centrale. Ma la stanza che ci è stata assegnata era piccola, non pulitissima, con tubi a vista, la porta che non era possibile chiudere (ogni volta che uscivamo lasciavamo aperto consegnando le chiavi in reception). L'aria condizionata non funzionava. Con notti con 38 gradi capite bene che serve. Colazione del secondo giorno molto ricca.

My husband and I stayed at Dar Ben Gacem for two nights. It was a perfect introduction to the Medina and a wonderful start to our trip to Tunisia. The staff were truly amazing. We had the most interaction with Dali. He was incredibly warm, hospitable, knowledgable, kind, and helpful. He seemed to delight in helping visitors appreciate special places, experiences, history, architecture, and food in the Medina. His passion and enthusiasm were contagious. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. There was temperature control which was helpful for the cold January nights. Breakfast was served in the courtyard. Everything was fresh, local, and delicious. Wi-fi reception was excellent in the courtyard, but spotty in our room due to stone walls. The staff all made us feel at home. There are so many lovely places to enjoy on the rooftop and in the courtyard. The design choices and artwork are a wonderful mix of old and new that represent the history of the Medina and also its vibrance as it continues to evolve. Highly recommend.
