阿奎地奧洞穴豪華水療飯店(Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel & Spa)

Hotel is so pretty and the view is stunning when you open the door. Matera is one of my favourite cities in Italy. Worth to stay at this hotel when visiting Matera and then you must be impressed by the city atmosphere. Next time I will stay at least for 2 nights to explore the city. What’s more, hotel staff introduced us one nearby restaurant which was so yummy. Thanks so much for her recommendation.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, where authenticity resonates in every corner. The premises were immaculate, reflecting a high standard of cleanliness. The spa was an extraordinary retreat, offering a unique escape, making our stay even more delightful. This hotel epitomises an authentic Matera experience, something we earnestly yearned for and thoroughly enjoyed. The hospitality was exemplary, especially owing to Roberta, who welcomed us warmly upon check-in. Her organisation and coordination of our needs were impeccable, showcasing a caliber of professionalism akin to a five-star setting. We left with nothing but fond memories and a strong desire to return. The experience was absolutely rewarding, and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a genuine Matera encounter.

O hotel fica bem no centro histórico de Matera, localização perfeita. A arquitetura é incrível. O hotel fica dentro do Sasso (tipo uma caverna), mas é super moderno, confortável e acolhedor. Quarto amplo, bem decorado, impressionante. O Hammam do hotel é imperdível e enorme. Vale a pena reservar um horário. O café da manhã é muito bom. Optamos por não jantar no restaurante do hotel e escolhemos uma das dezenas de opção ao ar livre com vista deslumbrante para a cidade de Matera que à noite fica lindíssima. O hotel não tem estacionamento (fica em área restrita para veículos) e a opção dada pelo hotel é um Parking pago bem distante. É necessário combinar o horário de chegada com o hotel para providenciar o traslado de van (também pago) do estacionamento ao hotel. Tivemos um pequeno contratempo, pois a van não estava no local no horário combinado e precisamos insistir com o hotel por telefone para enviar o transporte. Fora isso, a estadia foi mais do que perfeita.

This was a very unique property designed and built as if you were in a Cave. Not as claustrophobic as might imagine, however the room was very warm as we were experiencing a HOT period during our stay. The A/C was not able to keep up with the temperatures which made sleeping difficult! That said, other than that it was an interesting City. I can say I've been there, however once would be enough.

The Aquatio hotel was so amazing!! Who knew staying in a cave would be the highlight of our trip!❤️ It was in a great location in the village, walkable to everything! The hotel was beautiful, clean and the staff as so attentive and helpful (unlike other places we have stayed in Italy!) I highly recommend staying in this unique hotel!!
