瑪麗卡特之家飯店(Maryculter House)

One of the coolest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Loved the vibe, the food, the people. It’s beautiful and unique, with great history as well.

This is a great hotel on the banks of the river with lovely views Our room was fantastic with a large bathroom including big bath and separate shower cubicle Staff were all excellent and good fun as well Great choice of dishes on the menu and lovely food when it arrived. They have a great snug bar in an old part of the hotel with proper fires as well Brilliant place to stay at

The hotel is in a lovely setting. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The website shows pictures of most of the rooms, however there are a few that don’t appear to have been renovated, and these rooms don’t appear on the website. These older rooms are in a listed part of the building where you constantly hear pumps that maintain water pressure. Although it isn’t constant, it is frequent and goes on and off all the time. The room was tired and had stains down the walls, cobwebs in corners and on the light fixture. Where bulbs weren’t working, it highlighted the accumulation of dust. I would come back to the hotel, but would definitely not stay in the same part of the building.

Booked last minute as we had a funeral to attend. We checked the reviews and all said good. Our take on this hotel was everything was excellent, very welcoming staff, lovely location and great value. We will be back.

Excellent accommodation and lovely food.Decor inside rooms lovely but outside in the hallway doors need repainted as chipped paint visible on a few areas.Overall a lovely place to stay with lovely staff.
