Maryborough's Rainforest Retreat

My sister and I arrived early evening after a stressful full day’s drive, to find a delightful home just off the main highway. It had a beautiful little garden and welcoming Christmas lights. A wonderful happy vibe. We were allocated the Opal room which had two large beds in it… a queen and a king. The room made us smile from the moment we arrived. Filled with colourful rugs, pictures and lamps, etc. A homey, happy feel and a lot of attention to detail. Everything we could possibly want in the way including delicious filtered rainwater, coffee, milk and a mini kitchenette area to heat any food we had brought with us. A nice bathroom and everything was SO clean! The beds had memory foam toppers and were a dream to sleep on. Best value. Helene is a delightful host and goes out of her way to welcome you. If you want to escape a sterile hotel room and stay in a loved, and happy private accomodation, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended for a feel good getaway.

We booked into the Rainforest Resort for 5 days but ending up staying 14 days, waiting for out house to be built. Due to delays. Helene was a magnificent host who was extremely accommodating and helpful. Helene was so nice with our predicament and could not be more sympathetic to our needs and extended the accommodation on neatly a daily basis, even though there were new occupants arriving. I could not say a bad word against Helene and would have no hesitation to recommend this accommodation or stay stay again myself.
