馬卡爾旅館(Riad Markaal)

The owner Luc was a very hospitable host. The Riad was a major disappointment. I certainly overestimated the 4 star rating. Unfavourable location, not as seen in images on booking platform (misrepresentation?) and looked like it needed to be refreshed. Booked for 4 days but left after one night ( having paid for full 4 days).

We stayed at Riad Markaal last week for four days. Luc very kindly organised a taxi to collect us from the airport and he met us at the drop off from the taxi. He brought us to to Riad and introduced us to all the staff. After showing us our room he brought us up the the lovely rooftop, give us our first taste of Morrocan tea and give us a complete low down on Marrakesh - which was invaluable and put us at ease. On returning each evening the Riad became a complete haven. If you were dining in the staff served you dinner at a time of your choice which was always delicious. Luc also organised a day trip to the mountains for us - no hassle and well worth the money. Finally our departure flight was at 6.50am - Luc insisted on personally driving us to the airport - well and truly above the call of duty and certainly reduced the stress. So a big thankyou to Luc and his team - they made a good holiday great ! Frank

Riad Markaal is located in the Medina, a short walk away from all the places of interest to visit in Marrakesh. It is located just off a main market street, which is chaotic and busy, great fun to visit. The Riad itself is an oasis of calm, with a plunge pool that we jumped into every morning. It is quiet, with a beautiful rooftop where we had breakfast each day, and somewhere to relax in the sunshine after visiting the city. Marrakesh itself is like Indiana Jones on steroids - but Luc is a fantastic host who arranged transfers from the airport, met us and gave us good advice on where to go, what to visit, and tips on places to eat. We went to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday and the five of us had one of the best holidays ever, which was in no small part due to staying here. Do not waste your time going to a boring hotel - I cannot recommend the Riad enough!

This is a very special Riad with Luc as innkeeper! We stayed 2 nights at the front end and 2 nights at the back end of our trip to Morocco earlier this month (this is a GREAT time to travel, incidentally). Luc and his team were generous, caring, and creative and provided a truly memorable stay. The rooms were large and well-appointed ( for example, thank you for the electric water kettle), and the breakfasts and dinners were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and gracious and fun. To everyone at Riad Markaal: Thank you!!

Luc and Staff are an incredibly friendly and welcoming staff and provide a respite from the busy streets of the Marrakech Medina. This was our first trip to Morocco and Marrakech and we spent 4 nights at the Riad Markaal, 2 nights early in our trip and 2 nights before we departed. The location is excellent and easily accessible with a short walk from a drop off area. The rooms were well appointed and had a great look and unique personality. It is hard to believe these Riads exist in the quiet backstreets of the Medina, but Luc and team have truly created an oasis of calm and comfort. We enjoyed the great breakfasts and also had 3 dinners with our group at the Riad Markaal. The food and service were excellent and blended Moroccan cuisine with some French touches by Luc and staff. I enthusiastically recommend this Riad, and encourage all visitors to Marrakech who want to stay in the Medina to consider Rial Markaal. It was such a treat to return to the Riad after our visit to the Desert and long treks through the mountains. It was like coming home to spend the final 2 days there.

Ottimo Riad , Luc persona fantastica ,sempre presente e disponibile . Ottima posizione dentro la Medina e abbastanza vicino ai giardini Majorelle ....consigliatissimo ed ottimo rapporto qualità / prezzo.
