梅塔家庭飯店(Mehtap Hotel)

Lovely bar and restaurant at the hotel but separate ownership. The pool was small but nice. Staff friendly - inclusive Arrived at night and was allocated a room with only 2 beds for a family of 4. Moved next day to above the bar - too noisy so moved again - the staff were happy to accommodate us. Breakfast is gross 🤮 Room dirty, cutlery dirty, tables and place mats need a good scrub!

Fantastic small budget hotel. We arrived at 1am and were greeted by staff off the bus who took our cases to reception and then onto our rooms. Rooms are basic and had a kettle, cups, fridge and air con at £5 a day. Breakfast buffet was included, tea, coffee machine and a man making fresh omelettes. Room was cleaned and beds made every day, towels and bedding changed once when we were there in 7 days but this is standard now in all countries at this kind of hotel (eco friendly etc). Pool was fab and clean, no sunbed wars, plenty to go round, most people started coming to the pool at 10am onwards. Bar staff will serve you by the pool. Slide was fab. We played darts and water polo during the day. Very relaxed atmosphere. Bar staff were amazing, friendly and all spoke very good English. There is a snack and dinner menu. Drinks were reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Turkish bbq evening with a belly dancer and breakdancers, kareoke, we missed the bingo night and circus acts just due to being out for dinner. The bar staff on other evenings had people up dancing of all age groups. Remember this is not an all inclusive holiday with the entertainment you expect of such a resort it’s a family small hotel and they do an amazing job. The staff work really hard. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and main bar street of marmaris which is a lot busier and so was lovely to come back to our hotel at night for a nightcap on the nights we ventured down there. We were 2 women and 3 teens and they loved it. Would definitely visit again.

We’ve just come back from 10 days in Turkey and we can not fault the hotel at all. Staff were some of the best we’ve come across, made us feel welcome , safe & never a dull moment. Every single staff member was fab & it made us sad to be coming home. The hotel was spotless and our rooms were cleaned thoroughly everyday. It’s in the perfect location , 5 mins to the beach but still quiet at night if you don’t want to be around all the bars. We wouldn’t think of going anywhere else if we come back to Turkey. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE My father went a last minute solo 10 night holiday booked through Jet2. This hotel seemed perfect and had a central location which i was happy with since he was traveling solo. It advertised as having a refurbishment but its lies, its mis sold, false advertising. The room my father was put in had no window, no air con unless you paid £50 which he did because of how hot it was. Shower was filthy, and the room was right next to a bar that played loud music and my father couldnt sleep, obviously people have to enjoy their selves but putting a 79yr old in a room like this was shocking. Avoid this hotel. Jet 2 are false advertising

3rd time stopping at this hotel as the location is perfect and no need for taxis around marmaris,pool area is good with a slide for the kids and a pool bar close to all the sun beds,free pool table and play area in this hotel,free breakfast included also,drinks are cheap compared to the bars around marmaris and the food is very good and priced fairly,room is cleaned daily and fresh bedding and towels,24 hour reception,free Wi-Fi which works around the full hotel,on site mini shop which sells inflatables etc,pop sweets and cigarettes etc,i will be returning to this hotel next season

Stayed there for second time, this time we spend there 1 months, and it was our best decision. Very welcoming and cozy, felt there super safe and like back home. Grand bazar and city town 15 min walk, beach 10 min, Blue water shopping centre 5 min . Very welcoming staff, bar inside a hotel is absolute bargain- nice and very cheap drinks. In general great hotel, already booked for next year.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms where cleaned everyday. You got 2 pillows each which you don't get in the 5 star Hotel. The pool was a good size, cleaned regularly and there was always plenty of sun beds no matter what time you got up. The staff are all really nice and would go out the way for you. Also you couldn't really get a better location for the hotel. I wouldn't let the bad reviews influence you. As you know us brits loves to whinge about the slightest thing. I would definitely stay again.

Arrived back from Mehtap Hotel and was quite apprehensjve before we got there as we had seen some previous reviews which weren't so good. We got there around 3am, the staff were so helpful carrying our suitcases upto our room, we booked a twin room but we're given a double bed, told reception the next day and they changed our room straight away - had an issue with the balcony door not opening but this was rectified straight away also! Pool area is perfect, was worried it was going to be shaded with previous photos but there was plenty of beds in the sun, entertainment was brill, bingo, water polo etc throughout the day. We had food once during the day and a couple of nights and we couldn't fault it for the price. The cleaners were lovely and made sure our room was cleaned everyday, fresh towels ect. Perfect location, close to everything. Staff were lovely, especially Alex, Luca Jason and Eddie - nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again 😊

Apartments over all OK. The thing I would like to comment on is the pool area, the beds are covered with rope like shades, hope they remove them as this stops you getting a tan, and thats what we go for a good old sun tan. Please provide unberellas in stead for those who want the shade.
