馬裡內特套房江山旅館(Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Marinette, WI)

We were greeted by Pam at the front desk and she was a delight! Clean and efficient stay! Rooms are expansive and clean, the gym was clean and had everything I was looking for. Parking was well lit and the breakfast hit the spot.

This is a lovely property in a very nice small town located just a few miles from history- filled Peshtigo, WI. It is also halfway (by car) if you are traveling from Sault Sainte Marie, MI to Chicago, IL. Ok. That is how I selected Marinette. But this was the first time I selected a Country Inn & Suites by Radisson hotel. And I have traveled a LOT. I put this hotel within the city because I’m reading about it seemed to have been recently renovated, had a couple of very nice restaurants and cheese shops, and other things very near by which I felt I’d want to visit quickly during my two hours after arriving in the afternoon. And I called and spoke to the staff when booking 2rooms - one needing to be accessible because I am in a wheelchair. I splurged in fact because I was “sold” an Accesible suite with 2 Q beds, mini fridge, microwave. How lovely, I thought. Bottom line: wheelchair users beware!! Let me explain. My room was on the second floor, accessible by a nice sized elevator-. Unfortunately, the elevator itself is located a distance from any of the entrances and once I got off on the second floor, I found that my room (Rm 215) was quite far down from the elevator. That should’ve been my first red flag. I did call the desk and told him I was concerned in case there was any kind of an emergency because with other people filling the hallway and if there were any difficulty with small car, blackout, I would never find the elevator or the able to get to it. I wanted them to be certain to make a note in case of an emergency they were to call the emergency services people to let them know someone in a wheelchair was trapped in room 215. OK, but let’s get to the room itself. I am going to post a couple of photos which will help make this shorter since you can see some of the problems for yourself that way. Open the door to the room and you’re in an extremely small room which they considered to be the suite. The wheelchair barely fit in the room, but with all the furniture they had in it, the furniture was totally inappropriate for anyone in a wheelchair and impossible for wheelchair user to use. It just caused barriers. The hallway, then led to go past the bathroom, which was totally not accessible and onward to the bedroom. From the bedroom, if wanting to go to the bathroom, the bathroom door opened the wrong direction, so it was necessary to bypass the bathroom and somehow get that bathroom door open behind you by asking another person to do that and continue down the hall and out past the suite out the door and into the hallway, in order to be able to have enough room to turn around and come back into the Room down the hallway to where the bathroom door was finally open. Unfortunately, the bathroom itself was too small to accommodate a wheelchair, the sink was exceedingly shallow and had pipes that are under it so I wheelchair person could not access it, and the toilet had no appropriate grab bars or space around it. Instead of a roll-in shower, the tub had a cheap shower chair to use as a transfer bench. It collapsed and fortunately, I was able to catch my wife and put her on the edge of the tub. My mistake for even using the thing, but we were in a hurry. Won't be back.

My wife has family in this city and we live 2 1/2 hours away. We have stayed here many many times over the years. Very clean and well kept hotel. Very nice staff. The morning hot breakfast is outstanding. Something for absolutely everyone.

For the love of things great date night had fun day great breakfast food customer service is the best. We thank you. Great beds very comfortable. Nice pool. Check it out for yourself. Next too all the shopping.

We stayed at this location over the weekend....very nice hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast (love the pancake maker). nice rooms. The hotel had 3 weddings booked this weekend at this location. I was surprised on how quiet the hotel was with so many people. We went over to The Railhouse Pub and Brew for dinner and drinks. Very good fish fry and dirty martini....only thing was one of the waitresses had an attitude and yelled at us about playing the gaming machines. Loved Cusack's Bar downtown. Went to The Windjammer for dinner another night but was not very good. During the day we went to the Forgotten Fire Winery for their anniversary celebration. It was a great time and the band playing, The Cougars was great....definitely will come back to this winery.

Easy checkin and checkout with cookies!!! Clean room and good service. Awesome breakfast with several options hot and cold. Best hotel breakfast I've had in a long time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Marinette WI.

I don't usually expect much from hotels, just a clean room; however, this hotel impressed me. Our room was clean and comfortable but the breakfast was awesome for a hotel breakfast. Lots of variety and something for everyone and good coffee. The kitchen staff was chipper and welcoming, saying good morning to everyone as she went about her work. Smooth check in and check out. Also loved the yummy cookies at the check in counter. I wish all hotels were like this.

The hotel and pool area was very clean. The breakfast has a good selection with good coffee. The staff was always very helpful. We had to switch rooms due to the air conditioner not working and that was an easy, seamless process. The beds were comfortable. We're sad that we couldn't stay longer.
