城堡原野飯店(Castlefield Hotel)

Easy to reach from Deansgate and Oxford Road stations. Good value for money. Friendly reception staff located adjacent to a nice outside balcony overlooking the canal, where you can take your drinks from the bar. Manchester is easily walkable from the hotels location in the heart of Castlefield.

Con mio marito siamo stati due giorni a Manchester ed abbiamo alloggiato in questo hotel. L'ho scelto principalmente per il prezzo e per la vicinanza alla Factory International dove c'era la mostra che volevamo visitare.. La posizione si è rivelata ottima anche per raggiungere il centro a piedi (in 15 min circa) e per l'aeroporto, perchè vicino alla fermata del trenino. Il personale è tutto giovane, sorridente e disponibile. La camera piccola, ma luminosa e il bagno un pò datato (personalmente non amo la doccia nella vasca) ma comunque pulito e comodo. Colazione buona, non eccezionale, la mattina della partenza abbiamo aspettato che aprissero alle sette (perchè avevavmo l'aereo presto al mattino), ma comunque non c'era niente di pronto quindi pane in cassetta freddo e marmellatina... Nel complesso ci ritornerei per una-due notti va più che bene ( e francamente a Manchester non passerei più di un weekend in occasione di qualche evento, non mi è piaciuta granchè..)

昨晚住在Castlefield酒店，沒有睡覺，床很硬，牆壁是紙罐，上面的房間決定在凌晨4.30重新佈置房間裡的家具，當我打電話時接待處沒有人，工作人員還可以，但價格太高了它是

This hotel is a reasonable price for a city centre and is sited next to a pleasant canal. Our room was bright with a big ceiling to floor window. The staff were very friendly, too. However, the negatives we found staying in room 314, was the headboard of the bed backs onto a corridor fire door. This door bangs shut and was extremely noisy at night/ early morning, with people coming and going. I would not advise anyone, except a very heavy sleeper, to stay in this room. The breakfast was good for meat-eaters, but as a vegetarian I found the choice limited. On both mornings all the pastries had gone, and I didnt fancy making toast as the bread had no tongs to pick it up with, on either day. This is a health and safety basic, which I felt was overlooked. I would have mentioned these issues, but on check out we were not asked how our stay was, however, I feel this was a genuine oversight by the friendly lady on duty.

lovely hotel clean staff are very friendly couldant fault it all I would say its missing a jacuzzi as sauna steam room swimming pool was lovely breakfast was lush will defo be goin back in the future... if your in Manchester deafaintly recommended u wount b disappointed

We returned to the Castlefield for our annual Army Reunion with this being our 50th Anniversary. Ann and her staff were wonderful, friendly & professional throughout the full weekend that we stayed there. The facilities, including the gym, spa and pool are excellent, the rooms are bright, airy and comfortable. The bar staff are are excellent and managed to keep a group of over 30 ex soldiers happy and contented. The breakfasts are full English or Continental, hot and served as a buffet. Our 3 course sit down meal was excellent, well prepared and served perfectly. We have only praise for the hotel and staff, Ann in particular. We will be returning to the Castlefield next year and have booked already. Once again, thanks for a great weekend. Some hotels have a great location, some have great facilities. This has both but, this hotel has something that is rarely found these days - fantastic staff! From your warm greeting to your cheery goodbye. From Ann and the rest of the reception staff to big Pete the maintenance man, the staff here are just fantastic. To the owner - Congratulations on putting together such a great team. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. I will most definitely be back.
