Room a good size and nicely decorated. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice hosts. Good instructions and advice on where to eat. Nice countryside retreat on a farm. Good room and bathroom facilities. Some farm noise, but what is expected when staying on a farm location. Would definitely stay again.

Peter made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and the room was immaculate, warm and comfortable with lovely views over the farm and meadows. The B&B has so many quirks and is well located close to amenities but also within beautiful countryside- it was perfect for us as we attended a wedding around the corner at The Farmhouse. Plenty of options for continental breakfast which kept us going for the day! Thank you for an enjoyable stay- we will be back! Adele

Peter very helpful and friendly. Old world charm No en suite but bathroom next door and we knew that when we booked it. We were given excellent directions and they were needed. As it’s a farm don’t go in white shoes or put coverings over them. We went when there had been a lot of rain!

Fab place! Really clean and comfortable! Really close to derby city centre. Very friendly and a lovely B and B! Stayed in the emerald room and it was spacious, lovely view and clean. Bed was large and comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast and meeting other guests!

Great host, helped us with our bags, overall a terrific welcome. Nice large bedroom, comfy bed, and a table and chairs, something often not found and you end up sitting on the bed. Clean bathroom attached. Generous breakfast with attention paid to our requests. A great place to stay and we will use it again. Special thanks to Peter.

We stayed one night to attend a wedding nearby. We had a warm and friendly welcome and Peter even took my bag to the room. The room was spacious, well equipped and comfortable with lovely views. It is a shame that we did not get to spend enough time in the room. The bed was comfortable. I always take my own pillow to accommodation as I have a bad neck, but I did not have to use it as there was the perfect combination of one soft and one firm pillow. The private bathroom was clean and the shower powerful and hot, as I like it. All in all, I cannot find any fault with this lovely B&B and would definitely stay again.

I have to start with the host Peter. He was such a help from start to finish. I was staying there with my partner for a wedding, and he helped me with taxi numbers well in advance, and didn't mind at all that we were delayed in our arrival due to the rain and traffic and stayed up to greet us. He and his partner were so hospitable and the next morning (after an incredibly good nights' sleep in the most comfortable bed I think I have ever slept in), he spent some of his time describing the history of the house, the estate and area which we were very intrigued by. We were all out late the next night and once again, Peter made us feel like we were just returning home as when we arrived back the house was warm, lights on and dogs barking. The breakfasts were great, fantastic coffee. The location is stunning and this is a must stay if you are in the area. Cannot recommend highly enough!

A lovely stay, Peter was welcoming, friendly and polite. My husband liked your pillows, i always take mine (habbit) Wonderfully quiet location, lovely presented room and bathroom, beautiful views overlooking the valley. Lovely stay Peter, we will be back.
