We were very disappointed with the stay in Thame because the hotel had been allowed to overbook and when we arrived tired at 11pm we were told we couldn’t be accommodated despite our booking and we would have to go to Aylesbury, which took another 40 minutes, with extra fuel etc. The first night had been booked separately to the second night. We went back to Thame for the second night and they wanted to charge us £10 for checking in early, we didn’t think that was fair, and they had to ring head office to get this waivered. If we had stayed at Thame as we should have done then we would have been there already.

My recent stay was a disaster. Our room was filthy: unvacuumed floors, stained walls, and dirty skirting boards. The bed was worse – stained sheets and dead bugs underneath. The bathroom screamed neglect with black mold, grimy taps, and a stained toilet. The proximity of their Support Office makes this neglect even more shocking. I've demanded a full refund. If this is their standard it's clear why the brand is failing. If you need to stay in the area go to Premier Inn Aylesbury hotel, it's a bit dated but at least the hotel is clean! Seriously, don't stay here – it's a total letdown!

Stayed here overnight with a friend, basic room, no glasses and enough coffee etc for one cup each. Had to hold the bathroom tap when turning it on as it span around and had to be vertically challenged to use the bath. Could do with another pillow in room as one on each bed and only one spare. Was suitable for the price but i wouldn't want to spend any length of time there. Do not buy the breakfast box, its a waste of money.go to the services instead.

We stayed here on our journey further north. They were having problems with the hot water, the receptionist dealt with it well, she was dealing with multiple guests complaining. Room was clean and tidy, bed comfy. The water was sorted by the morning

We checked in on Friday evening. On Saturday morning we wanted to shower but there was no hot water. Spoke to reception who stated 'No-one else has reported an problem with the water' and left us with that response. Very tepid showers experienced and then we left the hotel for a day out. Upon our return in the late afternoon to meet with our daughter who was also staying at the hotel, there was still no hot water. The receptionist and my wife checked a number of rooms to confirm that there was no hot water on site. This time the receptionist helped buy boiling kettles in order that our daughter might have a bath, and then took the issue seriously and reported the mater so it could be resolved. By Sunday morning, 24 hours later we had hot water again. Not really what one expects from a hotel in the U.K., but there you go with Travelodge.

We had a great stay here, was a meeting point for a catch up with friends. We stayed in the travelodge and had a quick walk into town. Reception have taxi numbers if required. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Staff were all friendly and welcoming.

Visiting family and friends in the area we stayed at the Thame Travelodge as we have several times before. It's an easy walk in to town, the accommodation is very good, in a functional kind of way (it is a Travelodge!). Staff are helpful, rooms clean and there is a service station and a few eateries on the site.

We always have a great stay in this travelodhe. The rooms are always clean and there is someone to assist you if you need anytjing extra. It is close to thame, there is a Asda in the petrol station opposite good for badic items. Very good thank you.

Our receptionist, Liz was exceptionally freindly, welcoming us with a smile and advising us on places to eat in Thame. The room was comfortable and spacious and having used the two tea bags provided on arrival Liz was happy to provide us with more for the morning.
