Dabbs Hotel

Historic building (1907) on the river, directly across from the railroad depot gardens. Cute front with a row of rocking chairs, just as one might imagine for a 1920’s/1930’s railroad depot hotel. The rooms are small & bare bones, but clean (we were upstairs in room 4, which was a 2-room suite with private bathroom. The room had a convenient small refrigerator, but the bedroom felt a little “closed in”, and the heavy drapes could not be opened enough to bring in enough light. All in all, the back porch with the view of the bridge and river bed is the best feature.

This is a lovely B&B right on the Llano River. The accommodations were excellent including a soft plush bed (the best), pillows, and towels. There were even plush bathrobes. The back porch over looks the river and was a great place to wind down from the day or have breakfast in the morning. Husband missed the TV in the room, but we managed (there are 2 TVs in the common areas). Breakfast included fresh fruit, oa**eal, bagels/cream cheese. And some of the best coffee we have ever had.

A lovely small boutique hotel with excellent outdoor sitting areas, beautiful interior and exterior decor, delightful continental breakfast and easy self check in. An enjoyable place to stay while visiting Fredericksburg and Enchanted Rock. We loved our Monday through Wednesday stay in the Blue King room. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

We lived in Llano 18 years and moved away several years ago. We were back through and stopped overnight at the Dabbs Hotel. The owners have remodeled this place since we moved and “wow!” ….impressive! Super clean, quiet, beautiful linens and decor! Self check in and check out was a breeze. Beautiful views of the Llano River. The owners also own The Barrell House restaurant within walking distance of the hotel - we had delicious drinks and wonderful dinner there. The hotel has a magnificent breakfast spread in the morning. I would highly recommend a stay here if you’re in Llano!!!!

Beautiful looking old wooden hotel. It is on the banks of the river, with great views of the bridge. The room we had (5), was bright, with windows all along one side. It was a decent size, given the age of the hotel, but did not have a view of the river. There is a snug living room on the ground floor, with a sofa and four dining chairs. The outdoor spaces are plentiful and spacious, as is the large dining room….all of these spaces have great views of the river and bridge. It was an easy walk into town. Breakfast was bagels, bread, excellent fruit, yoghurt and cereals. We were immensely fortunate to have the place to ourselves, as we were the only guests and the owner doesn’t live on site. Consequently, it was wonderfully quiet. A memorable place to stay.

There is alot to love about this recently updated charming historic home turned hotel! - sparkling clean - adorable and inviting decor - super comfortable beds, pillows, linens - delicious self serve breakfast including baked goods, individual scrambled egg cups, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, coffee, juices - breakfast area and back patio has a wonderful view of the Llano river waterfall and bridge - beautiful yards front and back - quiet neighborhood - pretty easy walk down to the river We stayed in the queen suite which had a small sitting area between the bedroom and the private bathroom. Our room was impeccably decorated and had a mini fridge and coffee maker. The bedroom itself was a teeny bit tight if you wanted to keep your luggage in there, but the sitting area made up for it and our stay was very comfortable. Best I have ever slept in a hotel! Would definitely stay here again!

Definitely 5 out of 5! Small quaint B and B. Great food in the restaurant. Owners exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Located right on the Llano river across from town square with great views of downtown and courthouse. Sunset on the back porch is a must! Recommend for all to experience.

We decided to use the Dabbs hotel for our family reunion venue this year and we couldn’t have had a better experience. The rooms were beautiful and first rate. The grounds provided the perfect setting for family conversation, fun, food, and music. Beautiful sunsets backlighting the Llano Bridge, softs breezes, shade and everyone had such a good time. The beautiful string lights nicely lit the back yard at night which was excellent for the kids playing in the green grass and making great memories. The inside dining area and back porch area were perfect for serving meals for over 80 family members. The owners were accommodating for everything we needed for the event. Can’t say enough about this fantastic venue in one of the most scenic spots in the heart of Llano!

My husband & I stayed at the Dabbs Hotel for our Valentine weekend. We enjoyed “THE BEST MEAL” with their catered Valentine Dinner, the gorgeous views & sounds of the Llano River, a very cozy & comfy king bed, beautiful bath, included breakfast & all the lovely decor of this recently remodeled historic hotel by new owners Brittany & Chuck.
