瑪麗亞安娜開放式客房飯店(Marina-Anna Studios)

We holiday in Trapezaki twice a year for over 10 years either as a couple or with family staying at various self catering Studios. With family members having stayed at Marina Anna last year and saying how good it was, when it came up in the Easyjet Winter Sale we booked as a couple 13 nights with Easyjet Holidays as a package. When we arrived, we were informed that they no longer provide self catering apartments although that is what we had booked, The Manager at Marina Anna advised that Easyjet should not have sold us a self catering package as they were now a hotel only and expected that people eat at their pool bar. It would have been so easy for them to provide an electric hob but they would not assist in any way and said that we would have to contact Easyjet who would have to contact their new agent. If we had booked direct we would have had a big problem with no hope of a resolution save for a take it or leave it attitude by the hotel Upon contacting Easyjet Holidays they were most helpful and offered discounts or a cash refund but all we wanted was what we paid for, a self catering apartment. It was resolved in a matter of hours and Easyjet moved us to an alternative property with an upgrade at no extra cost. If you have booked to stay at Marina Anna on a self catering basis check your booking as they will not get what you expect and will not provide any assistance.

Marina Anna Studios is in an absolutely stunning location. The view of the sea and the dramatic Mount Ainos was so relaxing and gorgeous to watch. Tonia, Maritina and Nickie were absolutely lush! Nothing was too much trouble. My daughter loved making friends with Nickie and having fun! Maritina’s food in the pool side bar was immense! Gorgeous burger and salami pizza 💗 husband totally loved the club sandwich 😊. Cocktails made by Tonia and Maritina were also lush and they designed new ones based on my favourite drinks 🍹. The best most relaxing beautiful holiday we’ve had in years with a beautiful family in a fantastic location 😊 We will definitely return 💜

We had a great weeks stay here. The view is absolutely stunning. The rooms are simple but you have everything you need in there, you don’t go on holiday to stay in your room. There are 2 restaurants just next door and a cafe that’s open in the morning and does breakfasts/pancakes/crepes and waffles. Tonia is a wonderful host and will do anything for you, if you need any advice on any trips she will help to organise them if needs be. The pool bar is great and the food there is wonderful. I recommend chicken club sandwich! Oscar the cat may want some, he’s beautiful. Thank you to Tonia and her wonderful family for such a lovely time. Hopefully we’ll be back again one day

Thank you to Tonia and the team. She works so hard and makes you feel instantly welcome. Had a wonderful, relaxed week. Such a lovely setting, reviews sum it all up. Need to be pretty fit to manage all the hills . Walked to Loudas twice, 45 minutes up and down , great for the legs . Last day got the bus, 10.15 am collects at 3pm, well worth it if you want a sun longer on the beach. Worth a trip to Agostoli to see the turtles, got the bus as others mentioned. Local restaurants very good if you don’t want to venture far. Would highly recommend if you want value for money in a wonderful location.

We had a beautiful chilled week and were made to feel very welcome. Tonya, Maritina, Dennis, and Nicky are great hosts and are attentive and just all-around fantastic. Food and drinks at the pool bar are reasonable and good quality. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The views from all rooms across the sea to Zante and the Kefalonian countryside are spectacular. Likewise, the views from the pool of the sea and the Mount Ainos are beautiful. Would recommend Gefiri and especially Veramente restaurants across the road and next door. The local mini market is well stocked and reasonable from basic groceries, local produce, and obviously beer and wine. Trapezaki beach is rugged and beautiful. It is reached by an incredibly steep hill, which is somehow harder to walk down than it is up! It's a nice walk, though. Calf muscles got a good workout. There is a bar/restaurant called Dennis here, and although we only had drinks, the food looked and smelled amazing. They will organise a taxi for you if you don't want to walk back up in the dark. You can get the bus to Agostoli from the end of the road, which is well worth a visit for some souvenir shopping, food and a bit of people watching. You might very well see some sea turtles in the harbour, too. Overall, it was a great place to visit and unwind, with fantastic people, in a wonderfully quiet part of the island, with just about everything you need on your doorstep.

A gem of a place. Everything is spotless and clean in the rooms and pool area. The snack bar serves lovely food through the day, great selection of food and drink. Pool area really chilled and relaxing always able to find a lounger. Great location with a few tavernas to choose from. Tanya arranged car hire for us which was great. Lovely, helpful staff. Would definitely go back again. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

Beautiful mountainous backdrop, dragonflies, buzzards, wildlife galore ♥️ basic but comfortable rooms, lovely chill out pool and 10 minute to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Tonia was a fantastic host, helped with car hire and was lovely. Best restaurant next door - what more could you ask for 😊

Marina Anna is a small, simple, but delightful property with lovely views. We (Steve & Jackie) stayed in the main building and our room (#7 ground floor) was spacious and well equipped. As others have said, Tonia is an amazing hostess – nothing is too much trouble. She offers plenty of advice and assistance and looks after her guests well. Her two daughters, who staff the pool bar, are friendly and helpful too. The pool bar serves drinks and snacks throughout the day, and you can run a tab, but note that you must settle in cash. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend Marina Anna Studios. There is a Piraeus ATM in Lourdas, a 20 minute walk. It charges less than the Eurobank ATMs which are everywhere, but expensive. The area is not well served for buses – one into Argostoli at 9:00am and back at 1:45pm, €2 each way. There are buses from Argostoli down to Poros, Sami and Skala, and up to Fiskardo, but the connections do not work. Taxis are reasonable but most are in the capital, so may take a while to arrive - €25 to Argostoli and €10 local places such as the beach and Lourdas. But agree the rate at the start, especially in the capital, as they may try to charge more and are not metered. The Tui Premier Kefalonia Tour is well worth going on, but be aware that if you chose the closest pickup, Galini Apartments, they will expect you at Hotel Galini in Poros! Choose Aristomenis Studios, give Tonia the booking reference, and she will arrange a pickup from Marina Anna! The beach is an easy walk down, but a steep hill up (15 mins). There are only a few umbrellas and little shade, but Tonia may be able to provide an umbrella left by other guests, or they can be purchased cheaply at the supermarket – but remember, you will need to carry it back up that hill! The supermarket is 200m away and again, 100m of this up a steep hill. Two restaurants are next door and open at 6pm, and Boho Café offers excellent crepes and waffles until 5pm. Further afield are Enastron (15 min flat walk), Stamna by the supermarket and several at Lourdas (15 to 20 minutes), again up a steep hill! All are very good.

We absolutely love staying here, after many times I've decided its time to write a review, which I rarely take the time to do. Marina-Anna is the perfect location for a quiet, relaxing holiday, the rooms, of which we've stayed in a few, are spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The views are stunning, from the bathroom your view is over Mt Ainos, and from the balcony over the beautiful Ionian sea towards Zakynthos. The pool is spotless and inviting, the pool bar well stocked, offering a welcome cold beer and wicked G&T's! There are restaurants next door Gefiri & Veramente, both serving a delicious locally produced/sourced menu and now a cafe, Boho which is open for breakfast. There is a super market and Scooter hire just a stroll up the road and Trapezaki beach is a 10 minute walk down hill (A bit longer back up!) with another lovely restaurant Denis. A family run business, Tonya, Dennis and their daughters couldn't be any more welcoming, hospitable and friendly sharing their knowledge of the island and advice for places to visit, they really can't do enough for you. We get a scooter and go out most days, and have been round the whole island from this location, however you don't need to go anywhere if you don't want to, everything you need is on your doorstep, but it would be a shame not to explore the beauty Kefalonia has to offer!
