歷史悠久的廣場飯店(Historic Plaza Hotel)

Part #2 April 2023~ Our Downtown Hotel in Las Vegas is the Plaza. We have a wonderful host and if I could have reached her I am sure I would not have received sub par treatment. Shout out to Ashley M. who has handled our family and personal travel for many years. We have special need requests and we are always handled efficiently by her team and herself. This trip we had a two bedroom mini suite. A coffee maker, fridge, some water bottles, a quiet location for resting, etc. There is soo soo much about the Plaza I appreciate. They are upgrading with a Carousel bar (out front) a patio added to Oscars, A Brian Christopher non smoking slots room (or section, and a Pink doughnut sweet tempting store that Diabetes must ignore. The Plaza is generous with room offers, food vouchers, and daily free play. All things I appreciate in this expensive era of Las Vegas.

Hier zijn we 2 nachten verbleven. Het is een charmant, oud hotel met een rijke geschiedenis. Men zegt dat het hotel zelfs 'haunted' is. Zo is ook de inrichting. Het is dus geen hypermodern hotel. Wij hebben er prima overnacht als tussenstop op onze roadtrip. Wat wel een groot nadeel is, is dat de kamer niet schoon was. Veel stof op het schilderij boven het bed, badkamer waar nog haren van de vorige gast te vinden is. Ook is op het beddengoed getekend. Kamerdeur bevat vele witte (water)druppels. Het ziet er niet uit. Zie de foto's. Ondanks dat het een verouderde inrichting en badkamer heeft, is het prima verblijven hier. Maar dat de kamer (en de gangen) niet schoon is, is gewoon onacceptabel. Wij hebben daarom ook geen fooi achtergelaten. Iets wat wij normaal gesproken altijd geven. Tot slot; personeel (front desk) is niet echt geïnteresseerd, behalve het bediendend personeel (bar) Die zijn aardig, maar dat komt waarschijnlijk door de fooi.

As an huge fan of both old hotels and Sheriff Walt Longmire, an overnight here on our way to Carlsbad Caverns fit the bill. I was so kindly welcomed by Aaron at the front desk and was pleasantly surprised that our room was ready at 2PM. We were in 320, a very large king with a plaza view. Clean in every way with comfortable bedding. A bit of noise from below as guys drove their loud vehicles around the plaza but the showing off did not last too late. If you think it might bother you, wear earplugs! Old hotels have squeaks and a few quirks, but that is the charm I love. If you are also a Longmire fan, stop in at the Plaza Antiques on the corner, just a few doors from Walt’s office. The owner will gladly tell you a lot about when the series was being filmed in LV.

Nicely restored historic hotel. Rooms are comfortable, great location on the town's plaza. While we don't mind dogs, they were literally everywhere other than our room while we were there: In the bar, lobby, cafe, even wandering unleashed it hallways, which is a bit much. So be forewarned, if you're not fond of other folks' dogs. Like a lot of historic hotels, it was tough to control the in-room temp. We had the heat off & windows cracked, but still couldn't get it below 72Fat night even though temps outside were in the 20s... No in-room coffee, but there's complementary java downstairs from 5-7a, after that there's good joe, espressos available in the cafe. Bar's nice, too, with a stellar selection of liquor, beer, & wine.

Staff was so helpful and kind. They offered solid dinner recommendations for while the in house cafe was closed. Rooms were clean and stocked with supplies. The hotel itself is beautiful and rich with history, along with the plaza park and surrounding buildings.

Lovely historic hotel. Our room was in the annex next door (still historic) and was quite large. I think the mattress was a Tempur-pedic - very comfortable. Limited parking behind the hotel or on the Plaza can be an issue if you have a lot of luggage (like 2 sisters do). We found the residential areas with historic homes but were surprised that they were not kept up. Not much happening here. The town could use some TLC and investment to attract tourism.

Best comps, best staff, cannot say how much I appreciate this hotel…..it just feels like home to me ❤️❤️another shout out to Freddy and Ty at the bingo …..and the amazing table dealers….and our server Meghan…..thank you Plaza for everything!!!

Great historic hotel! Dog friendly and restaurant had good food. The staff were all very friendly. We loved the shop inside and ended up buying one of the cute mirrors they have hanging up in the rooms and hallways. My only complaint was the carpet in our room, it was very worn with many stains. Of course traveling with a dog I understand pet friendly rooms may not always be in the best condition but the carpet should be replaced. Otherwise this was a wonderful stay and we will definitely be staying here again when traveling through NM. One random weird thing was the amount of crows in the plaza, they were all over. Out of the hotel (really anyone’s) control but I’m mentioning it bc the plaza side walks and everything we’re covered in crow crap. The city was trying to get rid of them with owl statues and recorded eagle noises playing in a loud speaker.

Staff “can’t tell wether just ignorant or not bothered”. Went to check in stood for 10 mins whilst staff member finished her conversation. Got the key to room and had to go fetch cleaner to enter and smell the Oder is as smelling she left to return with a liquid to refresh the air. No coffee facilities in room I was advised their is a cafe downstairs. Towels had a stale stench with paint flaking in the bathroom. The main room mirror was thick with dust with the bed sheet on inside out. Check out was the same with a blank looked staff member “ just leave the key in the bowl”. Give this place a miss
