Unfortunately we planned for only one night's stay having no idea what a tranquil haven the Lodge and its owners are. Our Unit was so comfortably furnished and set in park-like grounds. Max and Anna are delightful, thoughtful hosts and Anna produces beautiful courses for the menu she offers. It is so important to book in advance so that she has time to gather the produce and prepare it to perfection at the time you prefer. Breakfast is prepared at the time you wish.

This was a excellent experience all round. Visited whilst cycling the Roxburgh Gorge trail. Nice little units with great locally sourced body wash/shampoo, attention to recycling opportunities, comfortable beds. The restaurant was super - the food amazing and so well presented. Good wine list and friendly staff. Breakfast was comprehensive. All in all a top experience.

We stayed here for one night while doing the Clutha Gold Trail. We found the rooms to be very clean and tidy, and thoughtfully presented. Each had a nice balcony area overlooking the garden. The meals were outstanding-- beyond what we could have hoped for. The outdoor area next to the restaurant is a nice place to enjoy a beer, and Max and Anna are lovely hosts. We definitely recommend this place to others.

Comfortable room in a very natural, garden setting, although it was near a large hydro dam. Excellent dinner prepared in the restaurant by the hosts, with a nice selection of local wines.

Arrived soaking wet and covered in mud after cycling from Clyde to Roxburgh on a rainy day. We were given a warm welcome and a hose so that we could clean up. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the Lodge. Both were outstanding. Highly recommend for anyone cycling the Roxburgh Gorge Trail.

We had THE most delicious meal last night…everything was cooked to perfection, lovely couple who own and run the Lodge…piping hot plates along with piping hot food.. Absolutely a must if you’re visiting Roxburgh… 10 stars from us… 🙏🏾
