The Kylesku Hotel

Les chambres sont très propres et confortables. L'hôtel se situe au bord de l'eau ce qui permet d'admirer la vue au petit déjeuner et au dîner. Les repas y sont excellents! Un des meilleurs repas de notre séjour dans le Nord de l'Ecosse, poissons très frais et cuits à la perfection. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et tout simplement délicieux

4ème séjour à Kylesku, c'est clairement un de nos hôtels préférés en Ecosse. Le site est somptueux, l'hôtel extrêmement confortable, les chambres parfaitement aménagées et le bar/restaurant délicieux, le tout avec un personnel à la fois très sympathique et efficace.

Cet hôtel est dans un très beau cadre face à un petit loch , endroit charmant avec de belles salles ; Accueil très agréable ; l’avis de notre groupe (10) est plus mitigé sur les chambres dont la qualité et la luminosité est inégale ; De même, le dîner est très cher pour une qualité moyenne et le pdj pas à la hauteur du prix demandé. Un mauvais rapport qualité prix , même si la région est réputée chère,pour un bel endroit .

C’est un endroit extraordinaire, sauvage et très beau. Mais les chambres sont cheap et surtout quand on est au rez-de-chaussée tout le monde peut voir dans votre chambre si vous ne fermez pas les rideaux.

Stunning & welcoming hotel. Great rooms that are spacious and well equipped, residents lounge, fabulous food in a beautifully positioned restaurant. Views you can’t stop looking at. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Nice touch with binoculars dotted around so you can see everything the surroundings has to offer. Limited parking. Would stay here again.

Stayed here for one night with family. Stunning location overlooking the Loch and we were lucky enough to book a room with a balcony (well worth it). The room was very clean and well appointed with excellent additional touches including binoculars, books and high quality tea and coffee. The service was excellent, everyone was so friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. The bar has lovely views over the Loch and there's even a honesty bar available for you to help yourselves to drinks and record what you've taken. It's relatively expensive compared to other local hotels I researched but it's well worth the extra cost. I would definitely return and stay again for a few more nights.

Location is brilliant, a few things nearby but also isolated enough to feel special. Staff we ALL brilliant, so friendly and helpful. Dining also first class. Rooms not overly large, but this is an original hotel so you kind of expect an element of character in this respect. I've been coming to Kylesku since I was a kid in the 80s and I still think it's amazing.

Friends told us we had to go off the beaten path and stay in Kylesku. Best advice of our two-week trip. The area was amazing, dramatic, peaceful and beautiful. The hotel an oasis of charm, great service, wonderful food and wine. Go for the varied and ever variable scenery and serenity. Stay for comfort and seafood!

This place is definitely all about the restaurant, not the accommodation. GOOD: - The location is absolutely perfect, right by the jetty, with lovely views over the loch from the rooms and restaurant. - The staff are friendly and efficient. - The seafood here really is as fresh as it could be. - The fisherman's platter is as good as any I've had in over 40 years (but see below). NOT SO GOOD: - The hotel rooms are really very small. - There is no shelf or surface in the bathroom for makeup bag, toilet box etc, so everything has to go on the floor. - The restaurant is very good, but every dish is at least 20% overpriced by fair comparison. - The restaurant furnishings, service and ambience are pleasant enough, but it's all far too casual and informal for the very aspirational menu pricing. All in all this is a pretty basic hotel, but with an excellent seafood restaurant. And to be fair their unjustifiably brave menu pricing has obviously been justified by the consistently high level of table reservations.
