Absolutely appalling. I can predict with certainty that Four Points will be minus its Sheraton affiliation in the not too distant future. Perhaps one of the worst hotel experiences of all. Let me elaborate. Check-in equated to a 1-person queue with 5 receptionists standing around doing nothing. The receptionist that eventually served me was rude and angry, just because...and again alongside her colleague upon checkout whilst 3 other staff stood around... once again, doing nothing whatsoever. My duffle bag was then carried up by a gentleman in sneakers against my desires (as a 30 year old man I can competently carry my own bag), who then proceeded to hang around in my room in a grovelling fashion... evidently for a tip. The rooms electrics were a danger, and buzzed on and off, going as so far to darken the lamp when the latter was so much as touched. Upon increasing the air-con, a blast of putrid ammonia was released. The curtain bracket fell off of the wall. The wardrobe stank of urine. There was no mini bar menu or any room menu for that matter. The shower had no hot water even after a prolonged active state for two consecutive days at 6am! The bathroom gown had a brown stain, as did much of the furniture. A vacuum was parked outside my door for a few days which I almost tripped over. The elevator smelt of sweat and excrement on numerous occasions, and the breakfast was so dire, unsanitary and in expiry of its acceptable state that I was ill for 2/4 nights, and I am still recovering. The sausages were placed out cold upon being served in a ”warmer” that was likewise cold. And the staff were still fumbling around whilst arguing amongst each other at breakfast 30 minutes into its intended opening... every single morning. The jacuzzi towel provided was torn, and its shower contained numerous empty shampoo vials. I called reception twice, one time I was not called back though promised, and the 2nd time I was hung-up on. The 4th floor common area has the air-con on so high you'd need a ski jacket to use it (intentional no doubt). Conclusion. This Hotel is dire. I saw the manager, and frankly, though he appeared like a kind man, that is exactly the problem when operating a hotel. The staff have no discipline, and should for the most part be swiftly rebuked and disposed of, and of course, management replaced. For the price paid you'd find a better 2* with a 400% saving.
