阿雷納爾瀑布旅館別墅(Arenal Waterfall Lodge Villas)

Je craignais de séjourner dans ce lodge au vue des avis négatifs sur le site. Quelle heureuse surprise! Ce lodge, bien que situé dans les nuages, est très confortable. Il est éloigné de La Fortuna, et donc calme. Une petite kitchenette permet de faire réchauffer un plat si besoin et une cafetière permet de se faire un cafe en attendant l’ouverture du resto. Le personnel à l’accueil est charmant et de très bons conseils. Le petit déjeuner est de qualité et nous avons le choix entre 3 types de petits dej. Questa struttura era sicuramente bella al momento della sua costruzione, qualche decennio fa, ma la sensazione é che da allora non sia stata mai più ritoccata o rinnovata, lasciandone andare così alcune parti in assoluta decadenza. Per cominciare il bagno in stanza é veramente anacronistico. Elementi semiarruginiti, miscelatori della doccia mancante in una stanza su due, un piccolo lavandino con un ripiano in marmo posizionato poche decine di centimetri al di sopra dello stesso, cosa che lo rende quasi totalmente inutilizzabile, e degli asciugamani che non userei a casa mia nemmeno come stracci da lavare i pavimenti (vedi foto). Nella camera in stile centroamericano anni 60, periodo in cui sarà stata costruita, “illuminata” da una lampadina sul soffitto priva di lampadario, troviamo un frigorifero rumoroso, acceso ma totalmente vuoto (perché sprecare elettricità per nulla?) e un bollitore con 3 tazze ma senza la presenza di caffè o tisane per poterli utilizzare. Soprattutto però spicca il più grosso problema: un intensissimo odore in tutte le stanze di disinfettante / veleno conto gli insetti talmente intenso da irritare la gola, al punto da rendere difficile la permanenza senza prima aver arieggiato per ore l’abitazione. Unica nota favorevole risulta la gentilezza e la disponibilità del personale su cui non c’é nulla da dire, ma che da sola non riesce a compensare le carenze della gestione e della manutenzione. Complessivamente però una sgradevole esperienza che non consiglio.

J’ai aimé l’emplacement et la magnifique vue, j’ai pas aimé les douches de salle de bain, elles sont inadéquates et le divan de bois et les chaises de cuisines en bois ne sont pas confortables c’est désastreux.

Nice and quiet hotel. If you have a car is ok, but if you have to walk is a little far from the downtown. Breakfast is good, it has a good parking place, a small piscine. We had a good time and slept like a babies because there is no noise… bed are comfortable

Unfortunately, we had unseasonably bad rain--like rainy season level rain--so we didn't get to enjoy the views as much. We loved this lodge though! The villa was perfect. There was plenty of space. The screened back porch was a delightful place to enjoy a sunrise. I wish I had more time there--and better weather. **Pro tips** 1. Bring ear plugs. The rain really comes down, and there are lots of active night animals. I would not have slept without them. 2. Bring your own coffee if you need it before breakfast opens. The kitchen is stocked with supplies, but not consumables. 3. Watch out for snakes at night. I despise them, and of course there was one sitting on the road!

WORST PLACE !! Run!! Checked in on 29th of November, left my villa for a tour, came back 3 hours later to find out that both of our MacBooks , my Garmin watch, AirPods and even iPhone charger were stolen and my bathing suite , by hotel workers! How do I know it was hotel workers- because no sign of break in, our villa was open with the key by those thief and they locked the door after themselves after they stole $3000 worth of our belongings. When we approached them they just started playing stupid, like oh, no way, blah blah, one of them even came to our room and started taking pictures- of what? Stolen stuff that is not in the room? It couldn’t be more obvious that it’s an inside job. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here

Great place with amazing homes and views. We enjoyed hiking directly from the property and walking to the nearby Arenal waterfalls. The staff are friendly and helpful. This place is in the rainforest and on the side of a mountain with amazing views. We can’t wait to come back to this resort.

The property was huge with a beautiful view of sky and town ,my only problem was the lack of communication between the front desk and the restaurant on premise. And that my check out was at 12pm but they told me no its at 11 am.

We booked the lodge for a family of 6 and it an exact fit, plenty of beds in separates areas - comfortable beds, two showers, hot water (not all lodges really provide hot enough water), small swimming pool, free breakfast and great view of the Arenal volcano I wouldn’t recommend booking this place if you don’t have a car, preferably a 4x4 as it’s not really comfortable walking the distances to go on or out, going to our room (#15) requires going up in a ~40% incline One more point to consider, so in the wet season the hard rain sounds inside the lodge like someone is drumming on the roof - it’s very loud All in all, we had a good stay
