Good proximity to Railay beach, although you do have to walk through a jungle to get to it. Alternatively pay the long tail boats 300THB to take you there. Would normally cost 50THB but there’s no one else on Tonsai beach so you’d be waiting a while. Staff were friendly enough. No electricity between 3am and 6pm. Room was clean but very hot when the fan went off. No hot water, plug sockets didn’t work very well and was very loud if any mopeds went past.

This place is okay for what it is but you’re paying so little because of its location and quality compared to the other places around it. There’s only electricity from 6pm to 6am. No AC, just a fan. If you’re just planning on hanging out at the beach and not spending time inside and just need a place to sleep then this is okay. Or you’re looking for a “chill” place to just hang out, this is also okay.

Not in main island, pay attention if you delay your check in to a night hour. Address is not clear until booking is confirmed and in some occasions is non refundable. Many trips is not pickin you up from this hostel so it is also disappointing if you already booked a boat trip for instance.

Tonsai beach is very tidal, so some boats are not able to come into the bay, but they do pick up from Railay beach, so tours are still available, if you have not booked it with us, Depending on which booking platform you use, we are not able to write our own descriptions, this is why we send out a detailed message , when you book, so you can read, how to get to us and what to expect. We have a 24 cancellation policy, so had this not been suitable for you, you could of cancelled the booking.
