We stayed two nights which was enough for us. Outdated rooms, but big beds that were comfy. Unfortunately had to move rooms halfway through due to availability. Location not too bad. No hot water one night. Tv did not work.

Located right on the beach and 5 min walk to the pier.
Within walking distance to shops and restaurants.
My room was clean and good size. Ac was really slow, so I needed to keep it on at all times, even when not in the room.
The property is well maintained but in need of upgrading.
Very friendly staff and clean pool area.

Fantastic hotel nice clean big rooms lovely swimming pools 10/10
Wir sind aus dem Montalay Resort ais verschiedensten Gründen hier her geflüchtet und waren wirklich zufrieden. Uns wurde die Family Beach Villa zur Verfügung gestellt und diese war einfach nur top. Riesige Wohnung mit riesigem Bad, sogar mit Badewanne, großes gemütliches Bett und außen mit eigenem kleinen Pool und Meerblick. Die Anlage ist für Koh Tao gepflegt und die Mitarbeiter sind bemüht und ständig am säubern und pflegen. Frühstück ein Traum und Abendessen ebenfalls sehr lecker. Zum baden ist der große Pool perfekt. In 5 Gehminuten ist man im Zentrum wo man alles bekommt und in ca 15 Gehminuten am anderen Strand. Der Strand vorm Hotel ist das einzige Manko, da er durch den Hafen stark vermüllt ist, ein paar Meter weg vom Hafen geht es allerdings. Alles in allem eine top Anlage zum schnorcheln aber besser Ausflüge machen.

THE WORSE PLACE AVOID!!! My sister and I stayed at Montra resort in the delux room for 3 days. The air condition was not working and It was supposed to be an air conditioned room. Instead they put a fan in the room and the electricity kept going off throughout the day. The shower head was full of limescale and the shower water pressure was very slow and the water was also cold. The toilet was dirty and needed bleaching. We were given replacement towels each day. On our last day we went to the reception to order a taxi for the next day as we were leaving. The resort manager asked us before you leave can you settle your bill. Then she printed a paper with pictures of 4 towels that had not been washed and had mascara stains on it. The manager and another lady who was on duty 25/7/24 and 26/7/24 said to us we need to pay 1300 baht for the unwashed towels as we have damaged them. Instantly we were in complete shock as we have stayed in so many hotels, resorts and villas around the world and in Thailand and we have never had this before. We instantly felt that we were being discriminated on. We refused to pay as we could see that they hadn’t been washed. We said to them we would wash them as they’re not damaged. They managed to find 3 towels half an hour later. We were extremely upset about this and took out time from our holiday to do the housekeepers job and pay to get them washed. The next morning we were leaving at 6am my sister was getting ready in the room and a lady walks in checking everything is okay before we leave whilst my sister is getting dressed. They bought the towels we used in the morning down stair’s at reception and inspected each stain on them in front of us. We already went out of our way to wash their towels and now felt so disrespected and appalled from the service we were getting. I then expressed myself to the lady at the front desk about this and not once did she apologise for the way we were treated at the resort, They had nothing to say about the towels that we had washed and did not reimburse us for the money we spent getting them washed. It definitely ruined our trip to Koh Tao and would definitely recommend not staying here. We paid £250 to stay here and it definitely was not worth it. The lady was hesitant to give me their names(Toon, Su, Myo. I feel like she may have given me false names.Montra resort please train your staff and management team on how to treat customers as we’re paying their wages and should be treated with respect.

Goed hotel met geweldig zwembad! We kozen dit hotel ook uit voor het prachtige grote zwembad, voor nog 2 nachten extra op Koh Tao na verblijf in Koh Tao Heritage. We reizen met onze twee kinderen van 15 en 19 en hadden twee De Luxe pool view kamers op de derde verdieping. Prachtige grote kamers met nieuwe grote badkamers. Lekkere bedden, goede airco. Het hotel is misschien wat verouderd, maar het zwembad, locatie aan het strand, dichtbij de pier maakte dat het helemaal goed was. Ook worden delen opgeknapt. Het restaurant waar het ontbijt wordt geserveerd is heel mooi en nieuw. Het is op de 1e verdieping en kijkt uit over zee. Ontbijt erg goed en uitgebreid. Wij vonden de beste prijs via Agoda. Hotel zelf kon het niet matchen. Tot slot; superaardig personeel. De barman van de poolbar is zo vrolijk! Overall een aanrader!
