The Walper Hotel, Part of Jdv by Hyatt

Our second stay at the Walpert. Had a good dinner at their on site restaurant, and a restful night in a quiet, newly renovated, extremely clean room. The beds are very comfortable, linens are new and of good quality. We had bathrobes and all of the necessary amenities available in the room. The front desk staff was extremely hospitable and helpful. A wonderful stay.

Staff on check was great. But no valet and had to self park across from hotel and carry our own luggage up to 5th floor. Tv didnt eork properly and shower didnt work next morning. Told front desk was told they would look into it...

Each of the rooms have different size and decor. I look forward to my next stay and exploring another room. Love that the windows open for fresh air. Amenities great and lots of hot water. Convenient location although I didn't really have time to explore the area.

Location is great! We were celebrating our anniversary in town for the day only so its close to a lit good restaurants. Room sizes are small, but trendy. Bathroom was very small. Staff were ok, educated us about the restaurant hours, but didn’t really bother to make a personal connection. Overall, it served the purpose but for someone who travels often for work and this was a personal trip, I’d choose a different spot next time.

The hotel and staff are very nice but...the noise. We had a outside room and the noise from the street below was as if the windows were open (street sweepers start at 6 a.m.). We could also perfectly hear the honeymooners in the room next door.

Overall it’s a nice and clean hotel that was built 120 years ago. Bed was comfy and rooms were clean with basic amenities. My biggest complaint was they didn’t have blackout curtains. I was facing Queen St on the third floor which had a street light shining into my room. It was very bright while trying to sleep. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. In summary I would avoid rooms that face Queen St for a peaceful night sleep.

The hotel is very trendy with beautiful wall coverings in each room, comfortable bedding and the most friendly staff. Even the hallways to the rooms are amazing with soft art like carpet and comfortable seating arrangements even in the hall.

From the moment I checked into the moment I checked out I couldn’t have been more satisfied with my stay. As a result of the phenomenal service, great location and clean and comfortable room. This is a hotel that I would not only recommend but personally would stay here time and time again.
