Columba House - 哥倫巴之家

A great location that allows you to view the village from many angles. When we entered, the heater was on and the room was immaculate, making us feel at home. extremely spaceful and with a light, airy feel. Our five-year-old daughter could comfortably sleep in our bed without feeling crowded. I heartily suggest it!

Albergo fatiscente. Totalmente abbandonato a se stesso. Il personale non esiste, si comunica tramite un telefono con una persona non presente in struttura. Arrivati in hotel abbiamo fatto un self check in. La stanza era molto sporca, piena di peli di cane fra tutto, moquette piena di macchie, l’unica soluzione era un cambio stanza, visto che nessuno poteva venire a pulire la stanza prenotata. La stanza sostitutiva piccola, con bagno senza finestra e aspiratore rotto, lampadine rotte e all’ingresso un nido di vespe, debellato dopo vari messaggi a personale fantasma via chat totalmente disorganizzato. Anche in questa situazione totalmente abbandonati, sarebbe stato normale avere un deprezzamento della stanza, cara visto le condizioni, ma nessuna risposta a riguardo. Sconsigliato.

Igiene pessima: stanza piena di peli di cane ovunque sul pavimento, bicchieri di plastica usati dimenticati sotto al letto, io sono allergico ai peli di cane per cui chiediamo il cambio stanza, ci spostano senza refund o minimo sconto in stanza più piccola. Sulla porta di questa stanza c’è un nido di vespe (debellato solo dopo nostra segnalazione 24h dopo), l’aspiratore nel bagno senza finestre è rotto, una delle due lampade sui comodini è rotta. Personale inesistente, si parla solo per telefono con persone senza alcuna empatia, i messaggi su booking rivelano approssimazione e disorganizzazione. Pessima esperienza, questo posto non vale il prezzo e le foto che ostenta.

Great spacious room. Ideal for our elderly labrador as on ground floor and loads of room to put his bed down. Great Internet connection. Stayed 2 nights and it was a perfect location for a trip to Aviemore and the surrounding area. It was tucked away and was quiet and bed was very comfortable. The grab and go breakfast was a great touch and the auto check in and out with the key safe worked perfectly with our 4am start on leaving. The local town was quiet but offered a few options for cafes and a pub or two but limited opening times. Convenience store and a great community charity shop nearby. Stayed 2 nights fantastic value. Will definitely stay again. This time was on the way home after a long trip through the hybrids and was great to have a comfy bed and room to relax in before a long drive home.

So after 2 days and finding someone's left underware in room, light didn't work, shower absolutely usless and the mattress heavily stained, other guests noisey,.. no on site staff to help and no numbers in the room I was glad to get home for a wash! Messaged to hotel as they wanted to address issues. They couldn't care less, nothing was addressed. Was quite disappointed that no one cared. Obviously about the money and nothing else. I would book somewhere else before here again. Shame I gave them benifit of the doubt.

Firstly it was self check which would have been fine if the doors were clearly labelled to be able to enter the property. Secondly the lock in my door jammed and as no staff were on site I was sent a video on how to unlock a Yale lock. This was unhelpful as the door lock had jammed and I was unable to open it. A member of staff came to the property within 15 mins which was helpful and forced the lock open with some brute force. Unfortunately no other room was available so I stayed in this room. The property is being renovated ( or run into the ground) so no catering facilities on site. The doors were temporary MDF doors. To add insult to injury there was no hot water in the morning and the management were unable to get this resolved therefore I left.

brilliant, the key safe check in system was so efficient. Booking, check in and leaving was so smooth. All the information I needed was right there. The extra touches like grab and go coffee in the morning was very welcome. Although i didnt interact with any staff I could tell the hotel had went to a lot of effort to look after their guests. Everything was great. If i could offer some very minor advice. A blind over door window might be nice (a lot of light comes in from courtyard) and couldve done with a hook on bathroom door to hang clothes/towel. But I have to stress that didnt detract from the fantastic experience we had. A brilliant stay. we will be back

We booked for 3 nights. Neither heater was working nor hot water was coming out from basin, bathtub. Even shower gel was empty!!! In summary - they haven't focus on good hospitality. They are saying free breakfast but it's suddenly became empty till next guest arrived.

Petit Hôtel magnifique à l'ancienne. On se croirait dans les années 50. La quiétude est incroyable.
