I overheard one of the owners or managers i dont know which but they were treating one of the staff terribly, she questioned if the staff member was"stupid" my friend and i just left, i felt so sorry for the staff member.

awesome service...family owned and they care about their guests. rooms are tight but that's to be expected. breakfast was great and the staff is all over you. attached pub is a must each night. perfect location, close to bars, restaurants, ATMs, etc. tell Kelly Anne we said hello!

Excellent hotel and staff. I would highly recommend McSweeney Arms. The family is amazing and takes great pride in their hospitality. The food was great and the attached bar/restaurant is a great way to end the night.

Our golf group of 13 went for dinner and to watch the Ireland v All Blacks match .Our table was set up and ready when we arrived and we all had a great view of the tv. Despite the bar being packed with locals and visitors the quality of hospitality and food was first class. This family owned hotel under the watchful eye of Tony and Kelly Ann is well worth a visit

A terrible experience, will not be returning. The bread was mouldy with our breakfast. The blind and lampshade was torn in one of the bedrooms. The receptionist accused one of our party of deliberately breaking off the key fob, when it was explained that it fell off he called them a liar in a public place. When challenged on this he refused to back down. An extremely upsetting experience for a well respected older person who is the most law abiding person. When any of the foregoing problems were pointed out with politeness no apology was forthcoming from management - in fact we were met with repeated accusations of lying. Most definitely will not be returning and will be warning friends and family to stay away.

We had a nice stay in September during an unusually warm week. Our rooms on the third floor were older and on the smaller size (compared to U.S. lodging) but clean and comfortable. Our two rooms were quite warm even when the temperature outside dropped. The single small window faced a small service area so airflow was minimal despite the oscillating fans in the room (no AC in this hotel). I got the impression that all the rooms were unique and this might be an issue only in this small wing of the hotel but for us it was an issue. Staff was more than friendly and location was great. We would stay again (hopefully in a cooler room)!

McSweeney's was a great stay for us in Killarney. The breakfast was one of the best of the trip and the bar on the first floor was very convenient and friendly. The location is excellent for walking around town, and the staff was professional and attentive. The only drawback was the open windows at night did allow the noise from late night partiers to interrupt our sleep. Not much the hotel can do about that, and probably not a problem many months of the year.

Excellent location. Walls super thin could hear neibourr snoring. Could use some noise profiling. Location excellent

Great location! The balcony room had a beautiful view. Enjoyed having a couple drinks at the bar. Friendly staff. Good in room coffee and enjoyed the breakfast.
