Very friendly and efficient service. Immaculately clean room. Hotel is right in the heart of Killarney. Highly recommend!

Could not say enough a little gem one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in

This is definitely a charming and cute hotel. It looks like someone’s house when you walk in. The staff were very nice and helpful. The problem is largely with the building itself. The floors squeaked something awful, everywhere on the 2nd floor. Not just squeaking, but there was quite a bit of give with the flooring as well. The walls were quite thin so we could hear our drunk neighbors coming back in the middle of the night. Our bathroom light was so dim, we could barely see. The WiFi was spotty at best. The whole place needs updating.

Das Hotel liegt an der Hauptstraße und der öffentliche Parkplatz ist hinter dem Haus. Der Empfang war nett und hilfsbereit. Die Einrichtung vom Hotel ist im Retro Style und war sehr gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind auch mit einem Aufzug zu erreichen. Die Zimmer und das Bad waren sauber und großzügig. Die Betten waren auch gut. Der Pub im Haus hatte am Abend live Musik und war gut besucht. Wir würden dort wieder buchen.

On arrival at the hotel, we received a great welcome, with complementary tea and ginger bread. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful! Our room was large and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast and there was great choice on the menu. We will definitely be back!

This was another really nice hotel on our tour. Rooms were very nice and well apportioned. Beds were comfortable. Staff is courteous and helpful. Good location, within walking distance of a lot of shops and restaurants.

3 night stay booked by our (Rabbie’s) tour company. 1800s building in the heart of town, rooms are updated. Large room, king bed, nice linens and pillows. Desk staff most helpful. Breakfast has the usual self-serve cold items, plus a menu with omelette, scrambled eggs/smoked salmon and french toast In addition the the traditional “full Irish fry”. Killer scones. 200 yds from the pedestrian center streets. Old traditional decor in lobby, halls and breakfast rooms but well maintained. Yes, there is an elevator.

The Arbutus went above and beyond for us when we stayed in April. I organised a group booking and from the very start Ina and Michelle at reception were so helpful. People cancelled, plans changed and they were always so accommodating to it all. There was always a waitress at hand when serving food and drink and helped with decorating the venue too. The manager Pat always checked in and anything I asked there was no problem. Such friendly atmosphere, comfortable rooms and great location. Myself and girls really enjoyed our stay at the Arbutus and will defiantly be returning. I would highly recommend.

Hôtel 4 étoiles situé en plein centre ville. L'hôtel actuel date de 1926 et est toujours la propriété de la même famille. Petite chambre (sur la réservation il est indiqué 30m² pour une chambre double classique mais sa taille réelle est bien inférieure d'autant plus qu'elle est mansardée). Environnement très bruyant : la chambre donne sur des groupes de froid et pour ne rien arranger il y avait une fête foraine à proximité. Comme il n'y a pas de climatisation dans les chambres classiques, il faisait chaud (et avec le bruit, impossible d'ouvrir). Bonne literie mais lit étroit. Salle de bains avec baignoire. La décoration et le mobilier qui datent de l'origine, confèrent aux parties communes un aspect chaleureux et vintage mais par contre vieillot dans les chambres (du moins à mon avis dans la 211). Encore une conséquence de l'âge de l'établissement : l'insonorisation des chambres est exécrable. Très bon petit-déjeuner qui se prend dans une salle à la décoration, là encore, d'un autre âge. Pas de parking. Il faut utiliser les parkings publics à parcmètre (payant de 8h30 à 18h30). En conclusion, très bien pour l'emplacement, le petit-déjeuner et l'accueil et beaucoup moins bien pour les chambres et le bruit ce qui donne au final 3 macarons et un assez bon rapport qualité-prix. Le charme vintage a ses limites et est appréciable quand c'est réussi comme à l'Imperial à Cork, mais là c'est vraiment trop. Ne mérite pas à mon avis 4 étoiles.
