海鷗小屋民宿(Seagull Cottage B&B)

We were so excited for our stay here. Sadly the location on trip is very misleading. This is not in Dingle, in fact it is over two hours away. We would like a refund due to the misleading information but can’t seem to figure out how to apply for one. I contacted the owners and let the know the situation but they didn’t offer a refund of a solution.

Wir waren zu zweit hier für eine Nacht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Unterkünften dieses Stils, sind die Zimmer geräumiger und bieten guten Komfort. Da man hier auf dem Land, ca. 1km außerhalb von Portmagee lebt, ist es nachts absolut ruhig. Mit Leichtigkeit erreicht man von hier alle Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die Kerry Cliffs, die Skelligs (mit dem Boot) und den Hafen von Portmagee mit Restaurants und Pubs. Das Auto parkt man kostenlos auf dem Grundstück. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und kontinental, mit vielen frischen Produkten und hausgemachten Backwaren. Die Entscheidung hier unterzukommen, war für uns völlig richtig. Uns hat es sehr gefallen.

The inn was fantastic. Clean and spacious! They are expanding the property so construction was going on, but had no issues or complaints. Check in was easy and the owner was very nice! Close to Portmaggee restaurants. And it is in the dark sky reserve so fantasic view of the starts at night! Would definitely stay again.

we felt so at home here at the Seagull Cottage, a relaxed setting , very close to the Cliffs of Kerry, as well as the ring of Kerry and so many other amazing sites. our breakfasts were so good and made for an amazing start to the day. Having our laundry done was an absolute and appreciated bonus here too.......... an awesome stay in a beautiful part of the world.

It’s basically a big house, and you should expect to be left to your own devices while you’re there. The proprietors live off site, so there is no one around much of the time if you need help. I arrived a bit after 6 and had to peer through the front door to see the number to call to be let in. Breakfast was kind of a high-end continental: cereal, bread for toasting with various spreads, a small plate with cold cuts, some fruit, juices, etc. The proprietors were there during breakfast but not much in evidence; I would have liked more hospitality. On the plus side, the place is clean and attractive, and very close to the harbor if you’re doing a Skellig trip.

This is a modern, minimalist B&B (4 rooms total). The proprietor Andy is very thoughtful. Everything was clean and sufficiently comfortable. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The house is 1km from Portmagee where boats for Skellig Michael depart. There are also two great restaurants in town. Be sure to drive Skellig ring, and see the local sights (kerry cliffs, skellig chocolate, abbey ruins). This area is the best part of Kerry.

Andy and Caroline were excellence host. House was well organized and clean. Thanks for the stay.
