肯梅爾公園飯店(Park Hotel Kenmare)

Très bel endroit, dans un beau parc, dominant un lac, à 300 mètres du centre de Kenmare, idéalement situé pour visiter le sud du Kerry, bref, parfait, presque parfait. Pourquoi "presque" ? parce qu'en fait ce fut un plaisir de séjourner dans un établissement "vintage" avec son ambiance super cozy qui devient rare en Irlande à ce niveau de qualité, ambiance qui nous rappelle de bons souvenirs à nous qui venons en Irlande depuis des décennies, le petit petit "bémol" ce sont les chambres qui restent un peu trop "vintage"; ceci dit la notre était top tout en restant "à l'ancienne" sauf la salle de bain, grande, moderne, super. Les salons et salle à manger , super agréables, repas de très bon niveau, personnel aux petits soins, piscine et spa un peu entre deux. Cet établissement est une belle endormie, une magnifique endormie qui va sans doute se réveiller avec l'arrivée depuis quelque mois d'un nouveau propriétaire.. A voir la suite donc en espérant que ce côté vintage ne soit pas trop englouti dans un trop plein de modernisme. Nous y retournerons pour... voir En tout cas, bonne adresse !

Le Park Hotel Kenmare est situé dans un beau parc calme face à un lough magnifique et pourtant très proche de la petite ville qu'on gagne à pied en 2 minutes. L'accueil est professionnel et charmant et vos bagages sont apportés en chambre. Celles-ci, du moins celles de la catégorie luxe, sont vastes, un peu surannées mais très propres et confortables avec une belle literie. Salle de bain parfaite avec baignoire et cabine de douche séparée. Le bar est sympathique et bien achalandé, surtout en whiskeys de qualité, les salons cosy et douillets avec cheminée et feu de bois pour l'un; un pianiste en soirée donne un éclat musical et romantique. Le restaurant nous a séduits par son cadre confortable et sa carte alléchante dont les plats sont savoureux et bien confectionnés. Le spa est superbe avec une piscine rectangulaire magnifique de 25 m en inox (!!!). Au début de notre séjour, la Direction et le Personnel ont eu à faire face à un incident majeur affectant le confort des clients. Il a été réglé de manière parfaite, très professionnelle et rapide; rarement au cours de mes nombreux séjours dans des hôtels de classe, je n'ai trouvé une Direction et un Personnel aussi efficaces et prévenants. En résumé, cet établissement est un beau Relais&Châteaux portant bien ses étoiles.

There is something very special about The Park Hotel. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, you experience Irish hospitality at its absolute best. The staff, spa, food, beds (oh my, the beds), the setting… it’s just all a bit magical. It really is a perfect escape.

Excellent service, wonderful hotel, splendid breakfast and food, everything was perfect. I would highly recommend that hotel that is surrounded by a splendid landscape and in 1 min to the city centre, Kenmare. They also pay special attention to children (Lego room, activities).

The service at this hotel is a solid 5, but the overall property is in disrepair. Hopefully, the new owner will invest more than new artwork and expresso machines. Our room: Lumpy mattress. Burnt out light bulbs. Furniture falling apart. Clogged sinks. Lamps with questionable wiring. Overgrown gardens. The spa is a maze, and there is no attention to detail. The outside of the hotel is worn and crumbling. Yet the level of service and the quality of the food were spectacular. Again, hopefully, the new owner will focus on what is essential vs his wants.

Old world elegance in a lovely setting - we were impressed by the upgrade offered with bubbly on the occasion of our first visit and as our visit was a wedding gift by friends - staff friendly and attentive - bar and dinning room beautifully presented - opportunities to offload calories in the lap pool and river walks and town strolls nearby - great location for ring of Beara - we enjoyed Dereen gardens an amazing woodland seascape

From the moment we arrived the management and staff were absolutely fantastic. A lot of 5 star establishments tend to be rather pretentious and stuffy, not here, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and so very helpful. The hotel itself reeks of character and has a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

This was an unforgettable experience. Everything was fantastic - the welcome, staff, views, facilities (spa, gym, pool etc) … and the food was really incredible. Can’t wait to stay again. If anyone is thinking of staying at Kenmare Park Hotel, just do it! You won’t regret it.

The Park in Kenmare is actually ideal for a winter break because you would not actually need to leave the place if you are unlucky with the weather. The pool, different activities, relaxing atmosphere provide the perfect environment to relax.
