喜馬拉雅之家旅館(Himalayan Ghar)

Very good hotel as everything was nice. My friend and I would surely stay here again next time we visit Kathmandu. Great location, great service and friendly staff. Room is Very comfortable & Breakfast was fantastic . I Would definitely recommend this Hotel!

Himalayan Ghar was a really lovely experience for me and my companions. Although we had a short stay, we had all our needs met, the breakfast was great and the staff were wonderful. The lovely receptionist also helped me pay an amount I owed to a local person with the help of a local app. The rooms were huge with an included kitchen and living room, it was an apartment hotel. The food in the restaurant was also really delicious. They also arrange tours internally and the driver was also very nice. Loved the stay, thank you :)

I paid for a week and after the second night the air conditioner stopped working. I spoke to the front desk early the next morning, but in the afternoon they said they did not know when it would be fixed. I asked for another room and they said "no, fully booked", although I could have booked one via *********** (who BTW won't even respond to my messages. So, I just booked a room on another hotel and though I'll eat the loss, I won't spoil our vacation. The owner/manager does not give a damn about guests, and there are many other hotels. STAY AWAY from THIS PLACE!!!!!!

I’ve stayed at Himalayan Ghar on two separate occasions now and both times it’s been great. It’s conveniently located in the heart of Thamel yet set back from the main street. The rooms are tastefully decorated with traditional touches and come with a range of amenities, including toiletries and a mini bar. Breakfast is also served on their lovely rooftop terrace. The service is friendly and the staff will be very happy to help arrange taxis, offer advice on day trips, etc. I’d highly recommend Himalayan Ghar as an affordable and convenient place to stay in Thamel.

Great hotel close to the (touristic) centre Thamel. Very nice rooms (with mini bar), great bed and good shower and toilet facilities. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel lies in a quiet location at just a few minutes walking from Thamel. I’ve stayed in a number of hotels (in the same price range) during my stay in Nepal, but Himalyan Ghar was by far the best. Great value for money!

I had the opportunity to stay in Himalayan Ghar several times. Each time it felt like coming home again. The location, the facilities, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the roof top, the staff, the management - all of these points deserve 10 out of 10 points. Highly recommended!

Perfect location near the Thamel area, in a dead end, so no traffic. Large room, clean and a nice roof top restaurant/bar/breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff. So worth the price
