景色不錯，房間裏蟲子較多。設施也基本上接近需要翻新的極限了。不過在大農村能有這樣的配套設施算很可以了。前台的小姐姐服務也很好。另外就是如果想用室外恆温泳池，最好別住獨棟。獨棟所在區域走去泳池太遠了，要開車從外面繞過去。

Beautiful place with very sweet staff, however the water was non-potable. Yes, you read that right— not sure how that justifies $300/night or if that’s even legal. The porterhouse steak was unbelievably tough for the price so we passed on the $30 breakfast as we figured they probably didn’t learn how to cook overnight. Beautiful room and setting, although the giant soaking tub could not be used (the water again). Won’t return.

這家餐廳的景色絕對令人驚嘆！ 菜單很小但很豐富。我們很享受我們的飯菜，我們點了雞肉卷和豬肉，品相都很漂亮，上桌的溫度也剛剛好，很棒！ 工作人員很友好，服務很好！絕對值得再次光臨這個天堂最美麗的地方！

Incredibly run down in every respect. Should be embarrassed to charge so much for such low grade property. As soon as you drive in the dilapidated and overgrown tennis courts tell you how it will be and it is consistent. From the rusting bar stools to the green swimming pool to the unmown lawns. Then the villas…top $ yet old carpets, dated, cheaply fitted bathrooms and technology. One villa had an aircon that was broken (but we were charged full price) and then the water stopped working. This is not a luxury property, it is such a shame as beautiful views and could be so lovely. It has been let go and the staff are nice but not what you expect for the prices charged in the restaurant. Will not be back and definitely recommend avoiding it.

Booked in for one night and ended up staying for two. The estate is in a superb position on the Karikari peninsula. Our room had stunning views over the golf course to the sea. The room was comfortable and well equipped. All the staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Excellent dinners and breakfast in the restaurant. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable break in a superb location. Only downside - the gardens are looking decidedly unloved, just watering would help!

Came in for lunch with my friend (Carrington Restaurant), the young guy who seated us seemed like he didn’t want to serve us at all. Could overhear him saying rude things about us to his coworker and was told to stop. The girl who then took over our table was amazing though and so was her service. She’s probably the only good spec to that place, she looked after us really well and made our experience better. She genuinely deserves a pay raise in my opinion! Other than that food was good, the young lady was great & it’s an average place to eat.

We stayed at Carrington Resort for 3 nights to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant in charge, a middle aged big woman was extremely rude. She changed our booking to 8.30pm inspite of the restaurant having only 3 tables booked at the original time of 7pm. When we arrived at 8.30, she kept us waiting for over 20 minutes pretending to work on a computer, before showing us our table ! Having owned restaurants and hotels, I can honestly say she is a total disgrace to Hospitality ! Our entrees took over an hour to arrive. When we enquired with the woman she said she will check with the Chef and didn’t get back to us. When the food finally arrived, the fish was raw and the chowder barely had 3 tablespoons per serving ! We ordered some food and soups for room service on the first night we arrived and the empty dishes were not cleared for the entire time we were there for 3 nights ! We reminded them every single day to clear the dishes and our entire villa stunk with the smell of stale food for our entire stay ! We are always travelling around New Zealand as well as around the world to France, USA, Singapore and this will definitely be Hands Down the worst service we have ever experienced in our lifetime! We will definitely not recommend Carrington Resort to anyone !

We found the choice limited for dining around Doubtless Bay. The restaurant at the golf course had a solid menu and food was prepared wonderfully. Also had a nice chat with the new restaurant and bar manager. Great positive attitude re customer service. I’d go back here again. You’ll like it!

it was a perfect stay in one of the lodges for 3 days. The golf course is difficult but in very good shape-it is a champions course. The staff is mega friendly and supportive. Breakfast is excellent and prepared by a young friendly lady-good cappucino,fruits and,and.....

This was our second trip to Carrington and it was as good as the first. The golf course was in very good condition considering the dry weather the north has had over summer and the views remain excellent! The staff, service and food were fantastic. Nothing was a problem for the staff and the eye fillet steak for dinner was outstanding. If you enjoy your golf, make sure you don’t miss out on this treat! We’ll be back….

Had a great stay at Carrington Estate. Rooms were big and clean, views were amazing, so much to do and see. Spa could be warmer but still nice to soak and check out the ocean & stars! Golf course was also great as was the winery & all the food (thanks to all F&B staff who’s names I wish I could remember- so much fun having laughs with you all)! Jo and Tamara were super helpful at the front desk and helped us with anything we needed and Dipesh also super quick and helpful sorting my lost property. Thanks for a fun long weekend- see you in the future :)

For those of you travelling to the top of the north island and not going past The Bay of Islands you are missing out on a huge treat especially golfers. The Carrington Estate has a stunning well kept golf course with difficult to beat views from the clubhouse, course and rooms. Our group of 5 shared a well equipped 3 bedroom Villa as a package which included lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast with unlimited golf. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. It’s only 1 1/2 hours north of Paihia and well worth a visit.

Firstly, the good bits. Food is very good and the service excellent. Now if you need good wifi give this place a miss. It is between hopeless and non existent. The bathroom needs a total makeover - shower in the bath and a cracked washbasin. Towels not that great. Room was large. The whole place looks a bit tired with the grounds needing attention as does the non heated pool furniture.

We are absolutely glad and grateful for have chosen Carrington for our wedding. It was the most beautiful day of our lives! ❤️🙏✨ Everything was perfect and the location and the experience offered by Carrington made it exceptional! ✨👌🏻 We had friends and family coming from everywhere overseas and every single one of our guest told us that was the most beautiful and magical wedding. Thanks so much Carrington team for all your kindness, amazing service, incredible food and aptitude to help! I have to say that the experience with Carrington was magical since day 1, when we went to north land for a “romantic weekend away” and my husband and I fallen 100% in love with the area and winery! Our second time was when we were engaged and we were looking for a place in northland that offers a covered area and the beauty of Northland, and we went to explore what Carrington could offer ! We were so lucky to met Shayla (the awesome event manager) who gave us an amazing planning advice, share many options, great availability for calls to organise the wedding and excellent recommendations. But the most important, she kept us calm and feeling confident during almost all the process (exactly what you need to plan a wedding 🥰didn’t need a wedding planner, Shayla provided that help to me ! Shayla and the team also gave us many treats, gifts and made us feel very spoiled and special during all the wedding planning period and after it! We are very thankful for all the Carrington team that with their hard work made our wedding day so incredible. We hope that more people can enjoy this paradise and the fantastic experience that the Carrington team provides!! My husband Dan wrote more details in his review and I agree 100%!! I loved so much up there and can’t wait for our next trip to the north to visit and stay in Carrington! Please try the gnocchis and a glass of sparkling rose on the sunset ! Nothing can’t beat it 💖! 🌅
