Location is a bit far but it has stunning view especially the sunset. Restaurant dinner food was amazingly nice. Bed was comfortable to sleep.

美麗的地方，工作人員非常友善，但是水不能飲用。是的，你沒有看錯——不知道 300 美元/晚的價格是合理的，也不知道這是否合法。上等腰肉牛排的價格實在是太難吃了，所以我們沒有接受 30 美元的早餐，因為我們認為他們可能沒有學會如何隔夜做飯。房間和環境都很漂亮，儘管巨大的浸泡浴缸無法使用（又是水）。不會回來。

Honestly, what an underrated little Gem. Food is fantastic. Service that really lets you know you’ve got your well and truly out of Auckland as staff are just so friendly and helpful. Comfy rooms. And just all and all are great experience. Course is a little bit tired however when you’re coming for the weekend and the experience it ties in fine. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service, rooms clean and extra large and very helpful and attentive staff. Golf course on the up …..it’s a fabulous lay out in an exceptional setting. The golf carts have been renovated and there is now a well stocked and reasonably priced golf shop Dinners were good too with a very pleasant maître d

My friends and I had an amazing stay at the Carrington Estate 3-bedroom villa, which offers stunning views of the sea and golf course. The golf course is beautifully designed, providing both a fantastic challenge and a relaxing playing experience. We enjoyed golfing in a laid-back atmosphere, having a BBQ and wine on the deck while watching the sunset and star-lit sky, savouring a delicious lunch and coffee at the restaurant, and indulging in pizzas at the winery café. Each experience was enhanced by breath-taking views and the attentive, welcoming staff. This was my second visit, but even four nights and five days weren’t enough—we’ll definitely be back!

Incredibly run down in every respect. Should be embarrassed to charge so much for such low grade property. As soon as you drive in the dilapidated and overgrown tennis courts tell you how it will be and it is consistent. From the rusting bar stools to the green swimming pool to the unmown lawns. Then the villas…top $ yet old carpets, dated, cheaply fitted bathrooms and technology. One villa had an aircon that was broken (but we were charged full price) and then the water stopped working. This is not a luxury property, it is such a shame as beautiful views and could be so lovely. It has been let go and the staff are nice but not what you expect for the prices charged in the restaurant. Will not be back and definitely recommend avoiding it.

Possibly our worst dining experience ever. We waited TWO HOURS to be served very basic (frozen / packet?) food. None of group of seven could find positive comment for any of our meal selections. Good view out to the coast only thing to recommend venue. Suggest going elsewhere.

Booked in for one night and ended up staying for two. The estate is in a superb position on the Karikari peninsula. Our room had stunning views over the golf course to the sea. The room was comfortable and well equipped. All the staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Excellent dinners and breakfast in the restaurant. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable break in a superb location. Only downside - the gardens are looking decidedly unloved, just watering would help!

Came in for lunch with my friend (Carrington Restaurant), the young guy who seated us seemed like he didn’t want to serve us at all. Could overhear him saying rude things about us to his coworker and was told to stop. The girl who then took over our table was amazing though and so was her service. She’s probably the only good spec to that place, she looked after us really well and made our experience better. She genuinely deserves a pay raise in my opinion! Other than that food was good, the young lady was great & it’s an average place to eat.

We stayed at Carrington Resort for 3 nights to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant in charge, a middle aged big woman was extremely rude. She changed our booking to 8.30pm inspite of the restaurant having only 3 tables booked at the original time of 7pm. When we arrived at 8.30, she kept us waiting for over 20 minutes pretending to work on a computer, before showing us our table ! Having owned restaurants and hotels, I can honestly say she is a total disgrace to Hospitality ! Our entrees took over an hour to arrive. When we enquired with the woman she said she will check with the Chef and didn’t get back to us. When the food finally arrived, the fish was raw and the chowder barely had 3 tablespoons per serving ! We ordered some food and soups for room service on the first night we arrived and the empty dishes were not cleared for the entire time we were there for 3 nights ! We reminded them every single day to clear the dishes and our entire villa stunk with the smell of stale food for our entire stay ! We are always travelling around New Zealand as well as around the world to France, USA, Singapore and this will definitely be Hands Down the worst service we have ever experienced in our lifetime! We will definitely not recommend Carrington Resort to anyone !

We found the choice limited for dining around Doubtless Bay. The restaurant at the golf course had a solid menu and food was prepared wonderfully. Also had a nice chat with the new restaurant and bar manager. Great positive attitude re customer service. I’d go back here again. You’ll like it!

we were here 20 years ago and unfortunately nothing has been updated or modernized, We basically came for golf and again the course has not been watered for 4 months and is in my opinion,is 'unplayable'... so if you are here for golf, call ahead and see if the irrigation system is repaired, otherwise best to go elsewhere,,, ska

Really good sized bedrooms and en suite, everything you need, including a fridge. Rooms are nice, albeit a little dated. All staff we met were very friendly and professional ..... maybe a tad understaffed as usually only 2 servers on duty to cover restaurant and bar, but they coped very well when busy, trying their best to see to all the customers as quickly as possible and with a smile! Special mention to Vimeanrachna and Cameron , 2 lovely youngsters who were usually on shift when we used the bar/restaurant, great customer skills and very friendly. The food is fabulous, well done to Chef! Every meal was well cooked and beautifully presented. Restaurant is nice enough, but has potential to be fabulous. The Estate as a whole is lovely, but it's really out in the sticks. It is in need of some real investment from the owners, everywhere needs a good makeover and attention to detail, then it could be fantastic and a real 'destination' place, as the setting is beautiful. Being so far out of the way it needs to be special to make the journey here memorable for the right reasons. The golf course has such potential, so pretty, fabulous views and some interesting holes, I see work is happening and maybe soon it will improve a lot, but at present it needs a lot more care, the greens are the worst I've ever played on.
