Staff were friendly. Information in the room on resort and room etc would be helpful. The kitchen needs to be upgraded along with other outside areas. Nets were too small for bed. A great relaxing spot in the middle of a busy city. Breakfast was included and was good. We will go back again.

The hotel was ok out side our room but our twin bed room was very small. You goi k x not have swung a cat around in it. No where for luggage. Fortunately we were not staying the whole night. The bathroom was very different climbing some steps to get into the shower. The bar and restraunt area was very pleasant and there was a lively pool on a lower level. The food we ate wax very nice. We may have just been allocated a bad room.

The location is beautiful surrounded by green and trees in the middle of a busy city. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The big problem is that they drilled holes in every wall of your room against the dampness and hulidity. This means that you hear everything from the oustide and you can easily follow the conversation of you nextdoor neighbours. I don't mean muffled sounds, you can actually follow it word by word. Bring earplugs or take a sleeping pill if you want to get any sleep at all. We were there as a satrtingpoint for our trip with G Adventures

Beautiful lush grounds and terraces. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant (the Indian items are the best choice). The rooms are pretty basic. Some screened windows do not close - which is a problem at night. This is a noisy place in a noisy area. Bring earplugs

The service and restaurant at Forest Cottages was fine, and helped make up for very lacklustre rooms. Our room was so small we barely had room to walk around the bed. The place was noisy. Our friends apparently were given a larger room, but others in our group also suffered with extremely tight spaces. Overall, I would not recommend.

This hotel is centrally located in Kampala, off a busy street. Hotel and grounds are nice, restaurant serves good food. The rooms are very small, tiny bathrooms, good Wi-Fi. There were a lots of celebration, graduation and wedding happening at the hotel and it was very noisy until 11pm.

Nice surroundings if you wanted to sit outside. Food was good as was the wifi. Room was clean and tidy and pleasant looking. However, no armchair, just a hardbacked chair or sit on the bed and no wardrobe, just some hooks over the bed. Shower was very difficult to get in and out of as it was in a very narrow space. Continual music until quite late with other noise late at night from beyond the hotel.

A good quiet place with nice ambiance if you need some alone or private time. The tree covers makes it heavenly However they serve only instant coffee. I was disappointed in that regard . It needs to do better.

Best restaurant in Uganda. But my word! Bring your ear plugs. The hotel is located perfectly in the city and hidden away from the noise and traffic. They just happen to host 10 events on the same day that go until 11pm in the evening and they are loud. I’m saying that. The staff is sweet and accommodating and remembered us by name. The rooms were decent. However the food was superb. That lemon coriander soup was a highlight of my whole trip for me. Stunning stunning stunning. The hotel itself is well maintained and pretty. What was super special was the fact that we had to leave the hotel at 5:30 and would only be back at 6pm that evening. They made us a snack bag so that we wouldn’t get hungry during the day. That was lovely. Thank you.

If you are in the mood for something rustic, and bucolic, but restful, homey and comfortable - Forest Cottages is right for you. Located in a quiet residential area of Kampala, up in the hills, this place can be comfortably cool and safe. The rooms are functional and the bed is comfortable. The furniture is well organized and not cluttered. The staff are very respectful, helpful and accommodating. The services are impeccable.

Nice breakfast, nice dining area, green lush garden… Being at the center of the nice areas of the city made our life very easy. Rooms were very small, did not look like the photos on the website. There was no hot water for the three days I stayed. I will definitely stay again, but ask for bigger and better rooms and make sure the hot water is running.

The room we got was pretty small but at least it was clean and beds were comfortable. The location of the hotel was central and close to other points of interest in Kampala. The Recepsionist were very friendly and helpful. If you have a heavy luggage be aware to lift it many stairs up to the room:)

Forest Cottages has always been the only place I'll stay in Kampala. The lush grounds make us feel like we're miles from the city, even though we're surrounded by it. The rooms are a bit odd and awkwardly constructed, and some of the showers defy logic, but the kind and competent staff, and the excellent meals make up for those shortcomings. My most recent stay was in June/July, having not been able to travel since 2018, and this quiet oasis has apparently become Private Party Central. Non-stop, all hours, several going on at once. The noise level was ridiculous. Management is apparently unwilling or unable to apply any sort of guidelines regarding sound levels or cut-off times. It was a very disappointing return to a place I love, and I will have to reconsider whether to stay here again on future trips.
