烤緹遺產飯店(The Kothi Heritage)

Schönes 180 Jahre altes Haus. Das Zimmer war groß, nett dekoriert und sehr sauber. Zum Frühstück gab es ein sehr gutes Buffet, das im ebenfalls geschmackvoll eingerichteten Speisesaal serviert wurde. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und half auch bei der Organisation eines Fahrers zu einem fairen Preis. Das Haus liegt für die Verhältnisse in der Stadt in einer ruhigen Gegend. Trotzdem ist *** mit der Rikscha in wenigen Minuten am Glockenturm oder beim Fort.

Siamo giunti al Kothi Heritage accolti da un nugolo di giovani, che si contendevano i nostri bagagli per portarceli in camera. Superati il portone ed il cortile d’ingresso alla struttura, siamo entrati in un ambiente non molto attraente, con la reception ricavata in uno stanzino; espletate le formalità di registrazione, ci siamo incamminati verso la stanza, situata al primo piano. Nel raggiungerla, abbiamo percorso delle rampe di scale decisamente mal tenute. La nostra stanza (ci era stata prenotata una executive) ci è apparsa molto basica, con un letto comodo, cuscini piccoli e flaccidi (abbiamo dovuto chiederne altri due) con federe lise e macchiate; nessuna finestra in camera, a creare un ambiente a dir poco claustrofobico. Ho presentato le mie rimostranze alla reception (dopo aver passato in rassegna le foto presenti su TripAdvisor, che ritraevano stanze di tutt’altre sembianze), ma mi è stato detto che la nostra stanza era addirittura di un livello superiore alla executive prevista (?!?). Pareti e soffitto apparivano realizzati in pietra, maldestramente verniciati di bianco, con segni di spruzzi di vernice presenti sui mobili, evidentemente non ripuliti dopo la verniciatura. Stanza molto rumorosa e diversi componenti (vedi luci sui comodini) danneggiati; bagno ampio ma alquanto dozzinale, dotato di componenti di scarso pregio. Presentatoci al nostro arrivo come un antico palazzo del Maharaja, non ci è apparso assolutamente all’altezza della pompa magna con cui ci è stato descritto, mostrando viceversa ambizioni cui non corrispondono mezzi ed impegno nel realizzarle. Per contro, abbiamo gustato una buona cena vegetariana a base di thali al ristorante dell’hotel, con il ***ager del locale che si è preso gran cura di noi. Bella la sala da pranzo, con soffitti molto alti, tavoli comodi e ben allestiti, un arredamento suggestivo. Colazione del mattino a buffet, con specialità indiane e “angolo occidentale”, dal quale abbiamo attinto banane, toast, burro e marmellata, ed un ottimo caffè preparato dal ***ager in persona.

Decisamente non consigliato. Qui, la ****la 'heritage' sembra riferirsi più a qualcosa di vecchio e trascurato piuttosto che elegante e storico. Il nostro principale problema è stata la pulizia insufficiente. Abbiamo richiesto la sostituzione di lenzuola e asciuga***i macchiati, ci sono stati forniti altri sporchi e usurati quanto i primi. Anche dopo esser stati spostati in una nuova stanza, ci siamo trovati di fronte alla stessa ***canza di pulizia. Hanno tentato di risolvere pulendo nuovamente, ma senza successo. L'aria condizionata era rumorosa e il bagno si inondava dopo ogni doccia. Wifi instabile e lento. Il letto era talmente duro da sembrare un materassino appoggiato sul pavimento, risultando in un risveglio con forte mal di schiena. Tuttavia, è doveroso menzionare la cortesia del personale, anche se ciò non basta a co****sare le carenze della struttura. L'edificio ha un indubbio potenziale, trattandosi di un'antica residenza con un magnifico salone centrale. Anche se un tempo godeva di un'ottima posizione, oggi è inglobato tra alti edifici. Non rispetta gli standard minimi di pulizia, attenzione ai dettagli e comfort. Dopo una sola notte, abbiamo deciso di spostarci in un altro hotel, nonostante ciò significasse perdere il pagamento per la notte successiva.

We stopped here for one night and were given a welcome from the current owner of the hotel and the story of how the property has passed through the family which was really heartwarming to hear. The room itself was heritage of course but a little squashed for 3 of us, comfortable seating was provided and the bathroom was large. There was a fridge but no safe. A couple of extra pillows in the room would also have been useful perhaps in the cupboard for those who require them. The problem was the hot water, we had asked how to get this running and a young member of staff checked all the switches for us and told us it was fine...yet no hot water even after 25 mins..in the morning another member of staff said a switch outside the room needed to be on but by then it was too late we were ready to have breakfast and leave. The breakfast was a little unorganised there was only our table but it took a while with 3 staff on hand to get a cup of tea/coffee and milk for the cereal. We also ordered 2 eggs but ended up with 1 each and after asking again we got the second ones at the end of breakfast after we had finished the toast and banana. The choice was quite limited. It's a lovely novelty staying here but the restaurant staff and hot water checker could do with additional training.

I was greeted by Gopal like a guest into his home. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are a delight to deal with. The dining room is gorgeous and part of the welcome included a brief history of the building from its homestead days to its transition to a welcoming hotel in relatively recent times. The grounds are beautifully maintained and there's a real sense of peace here within the busyness of Jodhpur. There are multiple places to sit around outside to read or rest. My room was stunning and beautifully presented. Do check about how to turn the hot water on an off: it needs 20 minutes to warm up, so plan for this. I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The restaurant ***ager (Ragu, I think?) was the perfect host and the meals were delicious. The breakfast options were extensive; I felt quite spoiled for choice! :-) I only stayed one night... but I really felt while I was there that I had arrived home. I will definitely stay here again when I am next in Jodhpur.

Comfort and luxury on a budget. Centrally located but away from the noisy bustle of the city, The Kothi Heritage provides a safe haven where tradition and convenience meet. Rooms are large and comfortable with good lighting. The bathrooms are clean and well appointed. The staff is well trained, kind, courteous and quietly efficient. The food is hot, hygienic and tasty. The dining room is captained by Raghunath Singh who is a thorough professional. Warm, hospitable and ever alert. The garden is a cosy nook with birds serenading you morning and evening. For shopaholics, the most amazing hand crafted leather products at unbelievably low prices. The products are on sale from 8 to 10:in the morning and 7 to 9 in the evening. Safe for solo tourists also. Value for money without compromise. I loved my stay in the hotel. A big thanks to the staff, especially Raghunath Singh.

We are from Bangalore and stayed in this hotel for 5N, between Oct-25 to Nov-1 2023. Great locality, pleasing hospitality from all the staff, helpful owner. Pretty large room, neat n clean bathroom. Accessibility to various sorts of transports. Food options are ample - including the hotel restaurant and ***y other around, like gypsy in neighborhood.
