蒂卡納傳統飯店(The Thikana Heritage)

This Place is simple amazing. How often does one have the Chance to stay in a 350 year old haveli in the middle of the blue city at the foot of the fort. The interior was lovely and classy and the beautiful decorated bedroom invites for a good night of sleep. The only modern thing is the well equipped bathroom. The view from the rooftop terrace is breathtaking with the fort on one side and the city at the other side. Location is perfect, the clock tower only a 10 minute walk away. The best however were the warm and welcoming hosts.

The Thikana Heritage was a great find for us. We had booked a room in a soulless hotel and could only stand if for one night and then found Thikana and moved there. An old havelli in the heart of the blue city, it could not have had more soul. All carved stone with beautiful jalis throughout. Vipin and ***ju were great hosts. ***ju is a great cook. Breakfast was full of tasty surprises and evening meals were available and were so good.

Pathetic service ever:- 1.Firstly some construction work was going in the lane due to which the driver could not drop us to the hotel ideally the owner should inform us but he didn't... When we had reached the location after walking with so ***y luggage.. me and my friend were sweating like anything... They didn't even offer a glass of water and the owner started to explain the tour package and to mention their reception area was non ac and we kept on sweating while he explained his packages for about half an hour. 2. Next day when we returned from our day activities we found that the owner had switched off the main connection which was truly unprofessional as his ac was not functioning properly and took longer to cool the room and we had to suffer even after paying the full price with additional taxes 3. The owner gave only 1 bottle of water in 2 night stay where we had paid for 2 nights ,when asked for water he said he will give only 1 bottle of water rest is chargeable 4.The 2nd day which was our last day in jodhpur,we had taken auto for city tour and the driver which was supposed to be the hotel owner informed us while returning that we should eat dinner before going to the hotel as he cannot provide any dinner also we cannot carry outside food to the hotel as the owner is pure veg (Jain) and will not allow outside food. It was only 8pm and we were forced to eat outside when we are accustomed with eating dinner after 10pm. This hotel felt like one kind of boarding school/ hostel which was the worst experience ever . 5. The room was so tiny with two bed that we could hardly move around and my friend got hurt while moving in and out *In short if you are in Jodhpur please avoid Thikana heritage... It will give you the worst experience ever.* I gave the same review on *********** and the owner personally texted me on WhatsApp and tried to threaten me.This was so rude. A customer wants to give a genuine review and they do this kind of thing.

Very beautiful room (and whole building) that gives you a feeling that you are back in medieval times. Very clean. Great view from the rooftop. The owners are very kind and helpful. They can also arrange tours and airport transfer for you. Good location close to the clock tower, blue city, and the fort.

A completely different accommodation experience, such an amazing gothic style building. The owners were so helpful and ensured you had everything you needed. The rooms were so clean compared to anywhere else we had stayed. Such a good location too, away from the chaos of the main street but within easy reach of it. Would definitely stay again if we were in Jodhpur.

When we arrive to check in, our room has been given to someone else (we're not the first people this has happened to). They didn't see our reservation, but put the blame on us for not checking in far enough in advance. To co****sate, they « upgrade » and give us what they call a "better room"... We soon realize that all the rooms don’t correspond to the misleading advertisements. In fact, they are much smaller, very dark and not at all worth the price. We could no longer cancel our reservation. After visiting the reception desk, we are promised a large room the next day - a rather nice gesture on the part of the hosts. However, we got up on purpose the next day, packed all our bags and when we arrived at reception, we no longer had the right to this room. They've lied to us. In short, this is a very poor value for money compared with all the hotels we've stayed at so far. For the same price, you can get a hotel with a pool not far from the center or at least with some day light. The rooms are not pleasant. The ***ager was rude, unpleasant and unprofessional.

The place was spectacular!! A vintage rather royal look of the place was really a merit. The hosts are very warm and kind. They are friendly and comfortable. The dinner was awesome and the rooftop gives an amazing view of the blue city. Home cooked food is also a plus point.

The place is very comfortable. The hosts are humble and sweet. The mistress ***ju is very humble and friendly and her husband Vipin is nice too. He gave us very important informations about Jodhpur and ***aged our trips in the place. The place serves all your needs successfully.

Such an amazing building,400 yrs old. Spotlessly clean and although some of the rooms are bijou, they are still well worth booking. Ma hit and her husband are so welcoming and explain everything in great English. On arrival , where the tuk tuk drops you, don’t be disheartened, the Haveli is just round the corner and if you’re looking for local character, warm welcome and excellent food, this is the place.Have dinner on the roof top, freshly cooked with the smell of spices wafting upwards.
