Este albergue está ubicado dentro del complejo Notre Dame, Justo a las afueras de la ciudad vieja de Jerusalén a pasos de la New Gate. El complejo tiene altos niveles de seguridad y además se trata de un edificio histórico por lo q es un placer deambular por ahí dentro y sentirse parte de la historia. En cuanto a las instalaciones son muy correctas y espaciosas. El baño es muy amplio y tienes zonas comunes en interior y exterior por lo q hay mucha comodidad. La limpieza es de agradecer así como el desayuno diario que obviamente se hace en las cocinas de Notre Dame. El ambiente de la gente es tranquilo. No es el típico albergue juvenil por lo que es apto para todas las edades. Está abierto todo el día y puedes ir y venir cuando quieras desde la ciudad vieja. Especialmente quiero mencionar a Jumana la gerente, por su amable trato y atención permanente. Para mí es mi sitio de referencia cuando vuelva a Jerusalén. Lo recomiendo!!!

This was the best Hostel ever! the rooms were clean and comfortable. The most delicious breakfast out of any Hostel and even better than most Hotels. the location was amazing as it was close to the tram and the jaffa gate!

Great location by the New Gate and Jaffa Street. You can see the walls of the old city from the cafeteria. Space was clean and comfortable. The manager Jumana is also kind and checks in to make sure everything is ok. Would recommend

We stayed three weeks at this beautiful hostel and were so happy. We didn't expect very much but we found ourselves blown away by this place: beautiful and with a very kind and professional staff! We enjoyed the perfect location getting everywhere by foot or bus without having to walk too much. Comparing it to other hostels or places to stay it's totally worth its money. We truly recommend it a lot for a great experience in Jerusalem!

This hostel deserves a comprehensive review as it is a strong option when looking for hostels in Jerusalem. The School Hostel's location can't be beat; it is directly across the street from the Old City, and specifically the New Gate of the Old City. What's good about this is if you are exploring the Old City, midday when the temp gets hot, you can easily walk back for a nap and return later. This hostel is located inside the Notre Dame Center complex, and there is a 24 hour security guard at the entrance so I always felt safe despite travelling alone. the whole property is very clean and comfortable. The dorm rooms are standard, with comfy mattresses and air conditioning. My stay also came with a hearty breakfast of meats, cheeses, pastries, etc., I was spoiled! The biggest asset this place has besides the location, is the manager Jumana. I credit her with my exceptional stay. She made sure I had everything I needed and was always ensuring I was ok and happy. Jumana: thank you again for your helpfulness and kindness, making my trip to Israel special! Lastly, because this hostel is located inside a higher-end compound, this isn't a regular hostel. Although this place is a few bucks more to stay than other hostels in Jerusalem, the grounds and amenities are completely worth it. This hostel is built around outside courtyards made of Jerusalem stone, with plants and flowers everywhere. The showers get nice and hot (you might have to wait a few minutes for the water to get hot, but it does) and you get towels and sheets provided, too. There is also a large lockable drawer provided under your bed so you can have some piece of mind. Finally, the free wifi access was really fast and reliable, and I was able to do a long conference call for work without a single hiccup. This is a drinking water fountain available, so you can refill you water bottle anytime, as well as a vending machine for snacks. There's a lounge available too with comfy chairs and couches and a big screen TV. If I can leave photos with this review, I will because I guarantee this place is more beautiful than what you think about when you think of a hostel. If you stay here, you will have the surroundings and location of a high end property at a fraction of the cost, as well as the opportunity taken care of by the professional staff.
