澤西市索尼斯塔簡單套房飯店(Sonesta Simply Suites Jersey City)

I was in Jersey City to attend the Fest for Beatles fans being held at the Hyatt-Regency April 1st through 3rd. In 2018 & 2019, I stayed at Sonesta (then called Candlewood Suites) for the same purpose.

Within walking distance from the NJ Exchange Place and Path station. So if you plan to travel to NYC using public transport, this is a good place to just park your car and then come back and sleep in for the night. Parking costs $25 per night plus tax, so be mindful. The staff are nice and friendly. Overall good experience if not great.

the remodel in september that ruined this hotel for me: I have been staying at this hotel for many years, most notably, during hurricane sandy for 3-4 weeks in 2012... living abroad in london, i come back to the area, once or twice per year, and always want to stay here, so convenient, great staff... did not feel like a hotel, felt like a temporary home over the years... one of my favorite features was that i could work from my room, and then take 'coffee breaks', involving me walking down to the elevator, riding to the ground floor, passing the reception and saying 'hello', and then filling up my coffee, headed back to my room the kitchen is gone, the fresh coffee is gone, the colors of the remodel make the hotel look and feel like an office building the beds are comfortable, the rooms are the same shape, there is that nice 'smell' everywhere inside... but DUDE! i see the general manager has taken the space of the 'general pantry', where i used to fill up on coffee i would imagine in a property that size, the general manager could have taken a plush office somewhere else in the building i sensed it as soon as i walked in, a pathetic attempt at 'converting' the pantry to items stapled to the wall in the entrance... i will finish, putting it this way: the rooms haven't changed (except for different fixtures and art), i recognize the friendly staff over the years, still working there... so physically, the room is the same.. it no longer feels like a temporary home 8(

Hello *******. What happened was that we could never do the “check in” in the hotel because when we were requested for the deposit, we only had cash to pay for. The hotel did not accept cash, only credit card payment method was accepted; that we do not have. So finally, we could use our reservation. Please, we kindly request for the refund of our money since we could not stay at the hotel, we had to search for another at a very expensive price.

Hair strands stuck in the bathroom wall. Arrived very late in the evening so I did not want to bother them but went to reception in the morning to personally asked to have it cleaned. Nothing happened. After a very long day at work, this is an added stress. I called reception this time, and she says she is going to send someone. 11pm later, nobody came, neither has she acknowledged that there will be nobody coming. I let it go and the next morning asked reception to put fresh towels, fresh sheets and cleaning supplies so I can be the one to clean. To Pay $325++ a night and have this kind of service, is not worth it. I thought I would try the hotel to bring in our corporate account, never again. I emailed Samantha with the pictures of what I found and I got deaf ears. That's ok. Now I know how important we are as clients/customers for Sonesta.
