Nice hotel with an ok breakfast. Not always great on meat - they often just have eggs & cheese with salsa (and pastries)

It is probably the nicest hotel in the area. Pros - I give the staff 5 start!! They were amazing. Rooms were clean and quiet. Easy to find and easy parking. Breakfast was average. Cons - Spa was "out of service". There were places on the ceiling in the pool room that the ceiling had water damage that had not been repaired. The pool was supposed to be 80 degrees, but was much cooler. One of the exterior doors would not open from the outside with key card.

Total BS. Accidentally booked in wrong town while on the road. Called and cancelled quickly. Motel said we must contacted ******* to get refund. So ******* informs me that within 72 hours, that they cannot get in contact the motel with the motel..that’s open 24/7. They were provided with my name, number, and booking number…and still cannot figure out how to refund my money..and now say they will not refund me because of rules and policies. I’ve been robbed! Making me pay for a room I didn’t stay in, that was cancelled within 20 minutes….20 MINUTES….at the same motel that ******* says they were unable to contact for 3 DAYS! WHAT A RACKET! Rob the poor, to pad the pocket of a corporate giant. For a service that wasn’t provided that would of took 2 minutes to call motel and confirm. ******* should be ashamed of taking advantage of a person who can only afford a motel for an emergency situation. Because of a mistake, I had to pay for two motel rooms,when affording one was a stretch. I admit I made a mistake. A mistake I tried to correct in a timely manner. A mistake that didn’t cost anyone anything…except me, because ******* takes advantage of the “little guy” because they have all the money they need, but still feel the need of keeping the money they did not earn for a service they did not provide. Evidently an inept company that cannot contact a motel that is open 24/7, provided with name, phone and booking number. If anyone can help, please do. Robbery!

We had another good experience at AmericInn in Fairfield. Our room was clean, adequately sized, and well appointed with amenities. The public spaces were pleasant. Very conscientious staffers for our breakfast needs. Plenty of parking — a reliance and pleasant motel in SE Iowa.

AmerIcinn computers were down, so we were unable to check in. It was past 3 p.m. so policy said we could not cancel reservation. No place to eat in the immediate area. We went on to Ottumwa and checked into another facility there and ate the cost for the unused room at AmericInn.

Very nice, newly renovated hotel. Very clean, quiet and comfortable room. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Big plus was the adjacent bar that serve excellent pizza.

I asked for adjoining rooms when reserved and was given those as confirmed by a return email! Most places that doesn't happen. Clean, well stocked rooms, good TV channels, Pool and hot tub worked. The only negative is the exterior door on the south end wont open with your room cards. Been that way for more than a year with a sign on the door.

We loved our room, thought it was lovely and spacious. The woman at the front desk was very informative and friendly. There was not one thing we did not like. Even the breakfast was good.
